Presentation Composition of the offer
The solution described in this catalogue satisfies the final electrical distribution needs of the Data Center server racks. It is based on an
architecture consisting of:
b 100A to 400A prefabricated busbar trunking systems,
b 32A to 160A tap-off units,
b An energy monitoring system,
b iBusway for Data Center software.

Presentation Composition of the offer
The general principle is to supply the racks by Canalis KS type prefabricated busbar trunking systems, either overhead or via the raised floor.
According to continuity of supply needs, racks are supplied in single or double ways, with supply redundancy in TIER.

This configuration shows a supply with 2 Canalis lines, each line supplying 2 racks
by means of tap-off units.
This type of architecture is recommended for:
b Rack supply safety. Each line distributes at most 50% of the power required for
rack operation. When a supply fault occurs on a Canalis line, the necessary load is
supplied by the remaining line.

rack PDU operation.
b An increased number of tap-off outlets, allowing utilization of tap-off units with
fewer feeders.

Presentation Metering
This information is stored and prioritized in the Twido programmed PLC dedicated
to each area (see diagram below).
It is processed by the monitoring module proposed in the Full pack offer or available
in TCP modbus frame exchange format usable by a site global technical
management system.
Consumption is measured directly by EN40 or PM9P energy meters in the tap-off units.
Circuit-breaker status is indicated by SD/OF auxiliaries.
This information is transmitted by the AS-Interface bus to the Twido programmed PLC.
The Canalis lines must be protected by Compact NSX circuit-breakers, allowing measurement of voltage, current, power rate, cos φ and THD.
These data are sent to the Twido programmed PLC by the NSX micrologic module via a modbus protocol.

For each area, the information from the tap-off units is stored in a metering module.
This modular organisation allows adaptation to all Data Center sizes and shapes.

A area moves to orange when a tap-off unit line or feeder attains a power rate
exceeding the logged alert threshold.
The colour red means that a circuit-breaker protecting a tap-off unit line or feeder
has tripped.
The line circuit-breaker is shown by a square in the left-hand corner of the touch
screen. Each tap-off unit installed is represented by an identified rectangle.
Components move to orange when they have attained their alert threshold.

Raised floor installation
The power distribution line can be installed either overhead or in a raised floor using a suitable fastening mechanism.
DD230616
If installed in a raised floor, the distribution system is placed in the aisle located between two rows of racks.
The width of this aisle is normally equal to two 60 cm slabs, i.e. 1.2 metres.
