Currently resides in the mountains They primarily live in rainforests with
in Panay island and presumed as abundant fruit-bearing trees.
possibly extinct in Negros, western
Visayas.
DESCRIPTION
The species is also presumed
extinct in the island of Guimaras. To distinguish between male and
female, the first one has a yellow
throat and the latter has a blue throat.
Both have ocular skin, mostly black,
and has a cream-colored tail.
THREATS
Deforestation for farmlands and
poaching. They reproduce slowly, thus
high hunting pressure is damaging.
