1. MOUNTING
Refer to the outline drawing of this manual for mounting dimensions.
Note: The face of the LCD monitor is made of glass. Handle it with care.
1.1 Display Unit

The display unit may be mounted on a desktop or flush mounted in a panel.
When selecting a mounting location, keep in mind the following points:
• Locate the unit out of direct sunlight.
• Select a location where the display can be easily viewed and the controls can be easily
operated.
• Leave sufficient space around the unit for servicing and maintenance. See the outline
drawing for minimum servicing space.
• Be sure the mounting location is strong enough to support the weight of the unit.
• Locate the unit away from areas subject to water splash and rain (the unit is not
waterproof).
Flush mounting
1. Make a cutout in the mounting location, referring to the outline drawing of this manual.
2. Set the display unit to the cutout, and fasten it with four self-tapping screws (6x30,
supplied as accessories).
Note: Hex head bolts may also be used to fasten the display unit. However, their lengths
must be 10 mm longer than the wall thickness.

3. Attach the cosmetic cap (supplied as accessories) to the display unit at the locations
shown in the drawing on page 1.
Note: If necessary, fill gap between the mounting panel and the display unit chassis with
sealing material.
Desktop mounting
The display unit can be mounted on a desktop, using the optional bracket kit (Type:
FP03-09820, Code No.: 008-535-560).

1. Assemble two hangers and hanger stay with two hex bolts (M10x30), spring washers
and flat washers and cover each hex bolt with hole plug.
2. Fix the above assembly to the mounting location with four hex bolts (M10, dockyard
supply).
3. Fasten the display unit to the bracket with four hex bolts (M6x25, supplied).
4. Cover each hex bolt with cosmetic cap.
5. Cover each hole for handle on the hanger with plastic rivet.

2. WIRING
2.1 Wiring
Connect equipment to the MU-201C by referring to the drawings in this section and the
interconnection diagram of this manual. A cable with a connector at both ends is provided to
connect equipment.
General-purpose monitor
To use the MU-201C as a general-purpose monitor, connect equipment with the optional
cable assembly, 3COX-2P-6C (5 or 10 m) or DVI-D/D SINGLELINK.

Note 1: Even when the power switch is off, electric current flows slightly. Connect the power
line via a double-contact breaker.
Note 2: The MU-201C does not have a hot plug function. When the power switches of the
MU-201C and the equipment connected are on, do not connect or disconnect
equipment to prevent damage to equipment.

Fabricating the power cable (DPYC-2.5 (Japan Industry Standard) or

2. Press [▲] or [▼] to select the item desired.
The selected item is displayed in gray.
For item when you change the numeric value, go to step 3. For the other items, go to step
5.
3. Press [◄] or [►] to set value.
Pressing [◄] decreases numeric value and pressing [►] increases it.
When setting backlight, use or instead of [◄] or [►].
4. If necessary, repeat steps 2-3 to adjust other items.
5. Press the [MENU] key.
For AutoAdjust or AutoColor, the message “Auto Setting…” appears. Then the message
“AutoAdjust (or AutoColor) OK!” appears and the OSD closes.
For Cancel, the message “Setting Cancel” appears and the OSD closes.
For the other items, the message “Data Save OK!” appears and the OSD closes.

Note: Even if the power switch is off, a small amount of current flows through the equipment.
If the equipment won’t be used for a long time, turn off the breaker switch at ship’s
power distribution box to prevent battery consumption.
Full screen zoom and fixed aspect ratio

When inputting VGA signal, two display modes are available: full screen zoom and fixed
aspect ratio. For XGA input signal, only full screen zoom is available.

When inputting VGA from the radar or scanning sonar, the circle may be displayed as an
ellipse because the aspect ratio differs. In this case, use the fixed aspect ratio. The top and
bottom on the screen are left as blank, but it is normal.

5. MAINTENANCE,
TROUBLESHOOTING

5.1 Maintenance
Routine maintenance
Regular maintenance is important for good performance. Check the following on a regular
basis to keep the equipment in good operating condition.
• Check that the connectors at the rear of the display unit are tightly fastened.
• Check the ground wire and ground terminal for rust. Clean if necessary. Confirm that the
ground wire is tightly fastened.
• Dust or dirt may be removed from the cabinet with soft cloth. Water-diluted mild
detergent may be used if desired. DO NOT use chemical cleaners to clean the display
unit; they may remove paint and markings. Wipe the LCD carefully to prevent scratching,
using tissue paper and an LCD cleaner. To remove dirt or salt deposits, use an LCD
cleaner, wiping slowly with tissue paper so as to dissolve the dirt or salt. Change paper
frequently so the salt or dirt will not scratch the LCD. Do not use solvents such as
thinner, acetone or benzene for cleaning. Also, do not use degreaser or antifog solution,
as they can strip the coating from the LCD.
Fuse replacement
The fuse (Type: FGMB 250V 2A PBF, Code No.: 000-157-497-10) on the rear panel
protects the equipment from overcurrent. If the equipment can not be powered, contact your
dealer for advice.

Use the proper fuse.
Use of a wrong fuse can cause fire or

damage to the equipment.

5.2 Troubleshooting
The table below provides troubleshooting procedures to use when no picture appears. If
you cannot restore the picture, do not attempt to check inside the equipment – there are no
user serviceable parts inside. Refer any work to a qualified technician.

5.2 故障かなと思ったら
故障かなと思ったら、まず次のような点検を行ってください。また、サービスマンを呼ぶときに
は、点検したことがらを詳しく報告していただくと、サービスが迅速になります。
• 映像が全く出ない。
原因対策
• バッテリーがあがっているテスターでバッテリーの電圧をチェックする。
• ヒューズが切れている表示器のヒューズを交換する（本体の背面）。
• 機器間のケーブルが抜けているコネクタを正しく接続する。
• 電源コネクタが抜けているコネクタを正しく接続する。
• 輝度が低い輝度を上げる。
5.3 部品の寿命
LCD バックライトは、寿命部品です。下表に一般的な航海における平均的な使い方をした場合の
寿命時間を示します。なお、交換は必ず弊社技術者に依頼してください。

5章保守点検
5.1 ふだんの保守点検
本機の性能を維持するために、定期的に次の項目
を点検してください。
背面パネルのコネクタが確実に接続されてい
るか。
アース端子が錆びていないか、また、アース
線が確実に接地されているか。
表示器上にほこりや汚れはないか。ある場合
は柔らかい乾いた布でふき取る。
ヒューズの交換
電源が入らない場合、ヒューズが切れている可能
性があります。ヒューズ（型式: FGMB 250V 2A PBF、
コード番号: 000-157-497-10）は本機の底面にあ
ります。規定のヒューズと交換してください。ヒ
ューズを交換しても再び切れるときは、当社また
は当社代理店に連絡してください。

VGA 入力の場合、全画面拡大とアスペクト比（縦横比のこと）固定の切替えができます。XGA 入
力の場合は全画面拡大のみです。

め、円が楕円となることがあります。その場合は、画面の表示モードをアスペクト比固定にして
使用してください。画面の上下に余白ができますが、故障ではありません。

・全画面拡大またはアスペクト比固定表示の切替えをする（次頁参照）。
[DISP]キーを押しながら＋: 全画面拡大
[DISP]キーを押しながら－: アスペクト比固定
MENU OSD をオン/オフする、および設定内容を保存する。
DISP 映像入力信号を切り替える（押す度に DVI/RGB が切り替わる）。
▲ OSD のメニュー項目を選択（上へ）する。
▼ OSD のメニュー項目を選択（下へ）する。
◄ *2 設定値を変更する（マイナス）。

メイン画面表示に設定されている入力信号の状態を表す。

*2: 2 秒間連続で押し続けると変化ステップが速くなります。
注）本機は電源オフ時も若干の電流が流れています。バッテリー上がりを防ぐために、長時
間使用しないときは、船内配電盤にて電源を切ってください。

**：拡大表示された画面のみ設定有効で、映像入力が SXGA での等倍表示時には設定できず、常
に「Non」と表示されます。

2. ▲または▼キーを押して、設定したい項目を選択します。
選択された項目は白抜き文字で表示されます。
数値変更する項目（下記の「設定項目の内容」の表にグレーで表示）を選んだ場合は、手
順 3 に進んでください。それ以外の項目を選択した場合は、手順 5 に進んでください。
3. ◄または►キーを押して数値を変更します。
数値は◄キーを押すと減少し、►キーを押すと増加します。
Backlight の設定のみ、◄, ►キーのかわりに、
, を使用します。
4. 手順 2～3 を繰り返して、設定したい項目をすべて調整します。
5. [MENU]キーを押します。
AutoAdjust、AutoColor を実行した場合は、「Auto Setting...」というメッセージが表示
された後、それぞれ「AutoAdjust OK!」、「AutoColor OK!」というメッセージが表示されて
OSD が閉じます。
Cancel を実行した場合は、「Setting Cancel」というメッセージが表示されて、OSD が閉じ
ます。
それ以外の項目を実行した場合は、
「Data Save OK!」というメッセージが表示され、OSD
が閉じます。

電源ケーブル DPYC-2.5（現地手配）の端末処理
1. あじろ外装を 40mm 剥ぎます。
2. ビニールシースを約 35mm 切り取ります。
3. 芯線の先端より約 10mm 被覆を剥ぎ、圧着端子
（FV2-4、青・支給）を取り付けます。
4. 外装の先端から 40mm、ペンキを取り除きます。
5. 外装の先端にはビニールテープを巻いて、ペ
ンキを取り除いた部分をケーブルクランプで
固定します。
FCV-1200L/1500L, CH-250 などで本来の表示器を本機に代替する場合

オプションのケーブル組品 3COX-2P-6C（5m または 10m）と、インターフェイス（IF-8000）が必
要です。
注2) ケーブル(06S4078)の D-sub コネクタの装備で、そのままでは大きすぎて配管などに

通らないときはコネクタカバーを外してください。コネクタ端末配線部、ゴムカバー
をビニールテープ等で縛り外形を細くすることで、内径 30mm の穴に通すことができ
ます。
注3) ケーブル 06S4078 は防水型ですが､本機背面の防水性
は無保護（IPX0）なので、ケーブルコネクタの防水カ
バーは使用しません。したがって表示器側に接続する
コネクタのカバーを切り取って、押さえ金具を外して
ください

2章結線
2.1 装置間の結線
次のイラストおよび本書の相互結線図を参照して接続してください。装置間の接続ケーブルは両
端コネクタ付きで支給されます。
汎用のモニターとして本機を使う場合
オプションのケーブル組品 3COX-2P-6C（5m または 10m）、または DVI-D/D SINGLELINK が必要で
す。
注1) 本機は電源オフ時も筐体内に通電しています。保守用として全相切りのブレーカを設
けてください。
注2) ホットプラグ機能はありませんので、本機と接続機器が電源オンの時にコネクタの抜
き差しは行わないでください。破壊される恐れがあります。

卓上装備の表示器には、オプションの取手（型名: FP03-09840, コード番号: 008-535-570）を
取り付けることができます。

1. 2 個のハンガー(L と R)とハンガーササエを、2 本の六角ボルト(M10x30)、バネ座金、平

座金とホールプラグで組み立てます。
2. 組み立てたハンガーを 4 本の六角ボルト(M10、造船所手配)で装備場所に固定します。
3. 4 本の六角セムス B(M6x25)でハンガーに表示器を固定します。
4. パネルカバーを取り付けます。
5. 取手用の穴にスナップボタンを取り付けます。

1章取付け要領
本書の外寸図を参照してください。
注）LCD 管面は壊れやすいガラス素材でできているので、強い衝撃や圧力を加えないでくだ
さい。
1.1 表示器
表示器は埋込み装備型と卓上装備型の 2 種類があります。
次の点を考慮して取付け位置を決めてください。
表示器の重さに耐えられる場所
直射日光の当たらない場所
漁場、船の周囲の状況を観察しながら機器の操作ができる見通しの良い場所
巻末の外寸図に示す保守・点検用のスペースが確保できる場所
水しぶきのかからない場所（表示器は前面、背面とも防水に対して無保護のため）
埋込み装備
1. 装備場所に穴を開けます。
2. 表示器を取付穴にはめ込みます。
3. 表示器本体の正面から+トラスタッピンネジ（6x30）4 本で固定します。
注）六角ボルトを使用する場合、壁から 10mm 突出する長さのボルトを使用してください。

4. パネルカバーをはめ込みます。
注）埋込みパネル面の防滴を要求されるときは、パネル面と筐体とのすきまにシーリング材
を塗布してすきまを防いでください。
