File Based Loader - r9
File Based Loader - r9
You fix errors in the spreadsheet that you used to upload the data.
Errors that occur during the import to the Load Batch Data stage tables report automatically in the spreadsheet. For any row
that fails to load, double-click the status value for a description of the error. After correcting any errors, click Upload again.
Errors that occur as data is loaded from the stage tables to the application tables also report in the spreadsheet.
Click Refresh to display these errors. After correcting any load errors, click Upload again.
You can avoid data-dependency errors by following the order in which business objects appear on the Initiate Spreadsheet
Load page. For example, Create Location appears before Create Business Unit on the Initiate Spreadsheet Load page. This
indicates that you must create locations before you can create business units.
You can create business objects using any of the available methods. For example, you can create locations on the Create
Location page before uploading business units using HCM Spreadsheet Data Loader.

Attachments we cannot do through FBL and Spread sheet data loader that is the reason in R10 Onwards Oracle has
released HDL.
HCM Data Loader and File-Based Loader cannot be used at the same time for objects supported by both. Either of them
should be picked for conversion.
Using HDL you would be required to just pass the (N+1) Th record so a major enhancement
3. Flexible, pipe-delimited file format
Available in FBL too hence discarded again.
4. Comprehensive bulk loading capabilities
Delete the source file from the Oracle WebCenter Content server when processed.
File Action
The Import and Load value ensures that valid objects are loaded after import completes. The Import Only value only imports

Character set used for business object and attachment files. You can specify any Java-supported character set.

For existing customers upgrading from Release 9, the default value of this parameter is Limited. If you set it to Full, then you
can't change it back to Limited.
Note: HCM Spreadsheet Data Loader isn't available when HCM Data Loader Scope is set to Full.
Percentage of file lines in error that can occur in a business object before the import process stops for the object.
Percentage of business-object instances in error that can occur for a business object before the load process stops.
Maximum number of data error message occurrences on a processing thread for which stack trace is recorded.
Maximum number of complex error message occurrences on a processing thread for which stack trace is recorded.
Number of business-object instances to be loaded from the stage tables before the cache is cleared.
Maximum number of threads to run concurrently when loading data from the stage tables to the application tables.
