SELECTION PROCESS OF
“HyperCITY Retail India Ltd”

OBJECTIVE OF THE PROJECT

The Primary objectives for undertaking this report are:

 To understand the internal Recruitment and Selection process in organization.

The Secondary objectives for undertaking this report are:

 To develop practical knowledge with theoretical aspects.


 To know about the importance of recruitment and selection.

To identify areas where there can be scope for improvement

. Findings

In HyperCITY Retail India Ltd , 54% of the employees feel that HR department performance is
Excellent whereas, 42% say its adequate. About 62% of the employees feels that experienced
candidates are preferred at time of hiring, while 38% disagrees with it. About 72% of the
employees feel that references are major source for recruitment and selection, whereas 28% of
employees don’t think so. Mostly the manpower planning is done weekly and they follow proper
pattern for it. In overall, on an average 90% of employees feels all the activities related to
recruitment and selection are followed sincerely at all the level at HyperCITY Retail India Ltd.
96% of employees are satisfied with overall recruitment and selection process but changes are
required according to the changing scenario as recruitment process has a great impact on the
working of the company as a fresh blood new ideas enters in the company. Selection process is
good but it should also be modified according to the requirements and build job profile so that
main objectives of selecting the candidate could be achieved.

CONCLUSION

This study suggest that when Recruitment and Selection Process is properly established and
implemented then organization will grow because all employees will be according to the
requirements. Recruitment and Selection Process affects a lot on the organizational activities,
regarding its growth because if people are according to the requirement and skillful than cost will
reduce and organization can grow faster. Recruitment and selection are getting very much
importance these days in the organization. It is very critical thing to evaluate the human
resources. It is a systematic procedure that involves many activities. The process includes the
step like HR planning, attracting applicant and screening them. It is very important activity as it
provides right people in right place at right time. It is not an easy task as organization’s future is
depends on this activity. If suitable employees are selected which are beneficial to the
organization it is at safe side but if decision goes wrong it can be dangerous to the organization.
So it is an activity for which HR department gets very much importance
RECOMMENDATION

The suggestion and recommendation for the HyperCITY Retail India Ltd. is mentioned here :

1. The organization can use external sources for recruitment and selection process.
2. It can come up with a proper job description for effective recruitment and selection.
3. It can have a hiring team that only focuses on recruitment activities like
interviewing, documentation, exit interviews, etc because the number of employees
at HyperCITY is High.
