Overview of Ufone:

 Ufone is a second largest GSM cellular provider of service in Pakistan.


 It is the third largest mobile operator to enter in markets of Pakistan.
 The company was established in 2001.
 It is a wholly owned subsidiary of Pakistan Telecommunication.
 The company is currently engaged in providing two kinds of services i.e., Ufone Prepay or Post
pay

 The mission of Ufone is to provide wide coverage, clear signals, superior connectivity and high
quality of voice and keeps people connected as their logo states “It’s all about U”.
 Recently, Ufone has launched their 4G services in Islamabad and Rawalpindi and expected to
launch in all big cities of Pakistan in 2021.
 It is the last operator of telecom in Pakistan to achieve this feat
 Ufone will now offer 4G LTE services all major cities of Pakistan.
 To market this service available for customers, Ufone must need to follow the below explained
procedure.

Communication plan is basically an approach of policy driven to provide information to all stakeholders
regarding the new product or service.

However, in case of Ufone to provide information regarding their service of 4G LTE, it would be suggested
that they should focus on the strategy based on six steps i.e.

 Define Objectives
 Identifying Media channels
 Establish Timetable
 Evaluation of Results

 Ufone has scheduled its communication plan to be implemented in 2020 and increase it
awareness among public of all big cities i.e., Lahore, Peshawar and Karachi etc.
 However, it is fact that single advertisement of Ufone used to charge millions of rupees varying
with time.
 For the promotion of 4G LTE services, Ufone should spend 20% of their profit on advertising and
promotions of sales as they did for 3G services.

 They should make advertisement through billboards on buildings of famous locations.

 To have control and mechanism of evaluation, the company must focus on their internal
consistency and the quality of 4G LTE service to customer.
 After launching the service, the company should conduct little online surveys from customers so
they can identify the issues which customers are facing with quality or enhance their efficiencies
further.
 It would be further suggested that Ufone should ask customers through sending daily messages or
making a call once in a month to know about their services.
 This will provide them the accurate results and evaluation of their services and will ultimately
leads them to gain competitive advantage over competitors.
