1. Simple Frequency Distribution Table – displays the frequency of each data set in an organized
way. It helps us find a pattern and enables us to analyze the data using central tendency and
variance measures.
2. Complete Frequency Distribution Table – it is a representation of graphical or tabular format
that displays the number of observations within a given interval
3. Relative Frequency Distribution Table – it shows the proportion of the total number of
observations associated with each value or class value and it is related to a probability
distribution, which is extensively used in statistics
4. Cumulative Frequency Distribution Table - Cumulative frequency is used to determine the
number of observations that lie above (or below) a particular value in a data set. The cumulative
frequency is calculated using a frequency distribution table, which can be constructed from
stem and leaf plots or directly from the data.
5. Cumulative Percentage Distribution Table - Cumulative percentage is another way of expressing
frequency distribution. It calculates the percentage of the cumulative frequency within each
interval, much as relative frequency distribution calculates the percentage of frequency.
