Cosplay is very popular around the world. The word ‘cosplay’ comes from ‘costume’ and ‘play’.
People dress up as their favourite characters from comics, films, video games or cartoons. You call
these people cosplayers. There is no age limit for cosplay, but most cosplayers are teenagers or
young adults. Many people believe that cosplay started in Japan. But now, there are cosplay events
all over the world from Asia to Europe and North America. People enjoy cosplaying because they
can use their creativity to make the costumes.
