ACTION PLAN IN LPP IMPLEMENTATION

Rationale

Colongulo National High School envisions the administrators and teachers shall be models in providing basic knowledge and skills, child friendly, harmoniously working
with stakeholders, guided by the Almighty Father, and be able to provide Quality Basic Education to learners.    Aspiring to address the needs of all the clienteles and
provide basic educational services, the school is doing its best to continuously provide Educational Enhancement to its administrators and teachers, networking with
stakeholders with common goal – Quality Basic Education of Learners.

In line with its vision and mission, the district recognizes the critical role of teachers in promoting and ensuring quality learning among the learners.  Realizing the
fact that good teaching has a significant positive impact on how and what students learn, Colongulo National High School stresses the importance of continuous teachers’
professional development which involves enhancing teaching effectiveness and permitting the transition to roles of higher status and responsibility within the teaching
profession.

Although the Department of Education has had a long –standing commitment to improving the quality of education through in-service trainings and professional
development of teachers, its resources have not always been sufficient to meet the training needs of the large number of teachers who must be trained. With the
introduction of the Learning Partnership Program (LPP), KCD III sees it as the key strategy for reaching more teachers even with fewer resources. KCD   III believes that
of the Learning Partnership Program (LPP), the school sees it as the key strategy for reaching more teachers even with fewer resources.
LPP is a process whereby a trained or experienced teacher or group of teachers extends professional support to her colleagues. This is a special kind of relationship
between the Learning Facilitator and the Learning Partner where they become partners in learning.
The purpose of Learning Partnership Program is to contribute to the continuous professional development of   teachers and to help enhance their competence in
teaching. It also helps teachers stay up –to-date with new trends and learn fresh strategies, techniques and methods for classroom challenges. Aside from the objectives
set  by the Department of Education upon the implementation of LPP in schools, KCD III has stressed the following goals: to recognize change as being both an individual
and an organization process; to work in teams to maintain support; to include procedures for feedback on results; to provide continuous follow-up, support, and pressure; to
stimulate and support district-based initiatives; to offer intellectual, social and emotional engagement with ideas, materials and colleagues and to demonstrate respect for
teachers as professionals and adult learners.
The implementation of LPP in the district passes the process of planning which includes organizing, setting of goals, defining roles; especially of the Learning
Leaders, Learning Facilitators and Learning Partners; setting guidelines and developing implementation plans. A set of pre-determined activities and schedules are drawn
from consultation with the selected LFs and LPs. Planning is also anchored on using the least Learned Competencies of pupils based on the NAT and quarterly evaluation
of pupils.
