Show these pictures to children and tell them all these words have same beginning sound and
that is /Z/.

Step 2: Explain:
• Show flashcard of letter ‘Z’.

• Tell them ‘Z’ this is Mumma Z and ‘z’ this is baby z

• Zoo starts with letter z • Zebra starts with letter z.

• Zip with letter z.

• Ask them to say letter Z and sound of letter Z /z/.

• Ask the learner to hold a crayon using index finger, middle finger and thumb (Pincer Grip)
• and trace the lines given in the textbook. Follow the arrow while drawing lines.
• Rainbow Tracing: It is a simple technique in which each learner has to use at least
3 different colours of crayons to trace.
• Trace the dots given on four lines to form a letter
