Cause

1. The necessary provisions for the normal boom float option kit installation have been applied in the different stages
for the different engineering function group.
2. Therefore, additional parts and the different instructions are required per the machine model and serial number
breaks.

Action
Prepare the additional parts according to the following instruction before installing the normal boom float option kit.
NOTA:
To add the boom float option, the following conditions should be adhered to first.

1. The machine must be equipped with the hose rupture valve on the boom cylinder.
2. RCV lever must be 3 or 5 button type.
3. X1-2 switch option cannot coexist with the boom float option. (example: Thumb bucket)

Work instruction

1. Confirm the machine serial number where the boom float option will be fitted.
2. Check what additional parts or action is required in Table 1 according to the machine serial number.
3. Referring to the Table 2, order the necessary parts and prepare the VECU/VECU software if it is required.
4. Referring to the Instruction 1 - Bracket installation, weld the bracket on the upper frame.
5. Referring to the Instruction 2 - Wiring installation of Cabin, modify the wiring in the cabin.
6. Referring to the Instruction 3 - Wiring installation of Wire harness-Chassis Extra, install the Wire harness-Chassis
Extra which you have ordered separately instead of the Wire harness-Chassis in the normal boom float option.
7. Install the normal boom float kit to the machine.
8. Reprogram VECU if required except EC140B. In EC140B model, pre-programmed VECU should be ordered and
replaced. VECU of EC140B cannot be programmed with Vcadspro.
9. Adhere the warning decal on the right hand side window as shown in Fig. 5

Instruction 1 - Bracket installation

According to the following drawings, weld the bracket on the upper frame.
NOTA:
Master switch should be turned off and VECU, EECU connector should be disconnected before welding.

1. Wire harness-float cabin (included in the normal boom float kit)

5. Main wire harness connector

1. Insert the pin of the Wire harness-Cluster to the number 1 pin holder of the wire harness-switch in the cabin.
2. Insert the 0.85Y pin of the Wire harness-extension to the number 69 pin holder of the main wire harness connector.
3. Insert the 0.85Br pin of the Wire harness-extension to the number 52 pin holder of the main wire harness
connector.
4. According to the above diagram, connect the connectors.

1. Discard the Wire harness-Chassis in the normal boom float kit and use the separately ordered one.
2. Locate the Wire harness-Chassis Extra as shown in the above drawing.
3. Cut the grommet on the hole 2 in the right hand side of the cabin bottom plate and insert the Wire harness-Chassis
Extra into the cabin through this grommet.
4. Insert the 0.85GR pin of the Wire harness-Chassis Extra to the number 59 pin holder of the main wire harness
connector.
5. Insert the 0.85Gy pin of the Wire harness-Chassis Extra to the number 17 pin holder of the main wire harness
connector.
6. Referring to the normal boom float kit installation instruction, connector the other connectors to each components.
