INTRODUCTION
 Maharana Pratap or Pratap Singh Mewar(May 9, 1540 – January 19,
1597) was a Hindu ruler of Mewar, a state in north-western India. In
popular Indian culture, Pratap is considered to exemplify the
qualities like bravery and chivalry to which Rajput aspire.

MAHARANA PRATAP
 Maharana Pratap has become a subject of respect and pride for the
Indians as he has become a symbol of patriotism, sacrifice and
struggle.

 The war he waged for independence in extremely.

 Despite being the king of Mewar, the most of his life was spent in
forests and mountains.

 With his supreme willpower and incomparable warfare skills he


was able to free Mewar at the end.

 Sacrificing material happiness and gains, his unrelenting struggle for
the freedom of his motherland is etched as a golden chapter in the
annals of history.

 Maharana Pratap never accepted Akbar as ruler of India, and fought


Akbar all his life.

 Akbar first tried diplomacy to win over Maharana Pratap but was
unsuccessful. Pratap maintained that he had no intention to fight
with Akbar but he could not bow down to Akbar and
accept him as his suzerainty.

 He was against of child marriage, child work, women killed so he
saves women and child in Chittoor.

 He protect Hinduism against Mughals.

 Pratap become a king in only on paper he does not any kind of


land.

 Pratap roundly rebuffed every such attempt displaying his


self-respect and honor.
 Pratap was able to successfully evade captivity and escape to the
