Commentary

There are errors in sentences 1-5 involving pronunciation, word order and verb forms, which can be
corrected orally or on the board. The language in sentences 6-8 is correct but could be more
sophisticated for the level. It is important to encourage students to use natural expressions, such as ‘get
on with’ or ‘at the crack of dawn.’ Students can be prompted to do this by asking them if they know any
alternative expressions or by using gaps on the board to draw out language:

I have a good relationship with my classmates.

I _____ ______ _____ with my classmates.
