What problems are there with this way of reading?:

It will be a waste of time if they read everything, for example, in their weekly timetable while they just
need to look at the Monday column. Besides, failing to use appropriate language skills may make them
feel boring and lazy to finish their text since there will always be a wall of text they have to read. In
addition, overusing bilingual dictionaries every time they encounter new words makes it hard for them
to flow with the text, hence hampers their comprehension since the nuances and the emotions usually
come if we read the text in one sitting. Not to mention that when they look up the word,
misunderstanding of the text can occur to them as a word usually has different meanings which
sometimes way different from the meaning translated in their native language and can only be fully
comprehended if put in the context.

Native speakers usually might find listening more challanging than reading:

- They don’t have appropriate listening skills which cater to different purposes, hence they try to
listen to every word, which is kind of impossible at times.
