Question: Choose any public listed company in Malaysia and critically evaluate the extent
in which the company complies with the principles and best practices of good governance as
provided under the Malaysian Code of Corporate Governance (MCCG) 2017.
[Total 15 marks]

Instruction

1. Each group shall comprise of between 4-6 students.

2. Each group is required to research and choose a public listed company in Malaysia.

3. Download the Corporate Governance Report for the chosen company and critically
evaluate the extent in which the company complies with the guidelines set by
Malaysian Code of Corporate Governance (MCCG) 2017.

4. Presentation: 15 minutes video presentation per group, during tutorial, in Week 10.

5. Everyone in the group must present and contribute to the video presentation, equal
time for everyone. Marks will be awarded for individual effort (presentation) and
team work.

6. The assessment criteria are as follows:

a. Contents: (60%) will be allocated as a group mark
b. Organisation/teamwork:(10%) will be allocated as a group mark. Discussion
and documented evidence of clear allocation of task and preparation towards
the group presentation. Refer to Example of workload matrix on Page 2 as a
guide.
c. Creativity: role play/panel discussion etc, & effective and interesting use of
slides, materials, visual aids, photos, pictures, videos, charts,
d. Presentation: (20%) will be assessed and marks awarded individually.

7. The marking rubric is provided below on Page 3.
