Teaching Objectives:
Objective 1: be able to grasp the usage of all the words about house and home.
Objective 2: Students can understand the difference between several furniture.
Objective 3: Students can use the new words, sentences and structure to talk about
the house and furniture.

Teaching difficult points:
Students cannot understand the meaning of the unfamiliar words.
Teaching procedure:
1、Lead-in
Brainstorm: check what do they know before about the vocabulary about house and
home.
Activity: divide the ss to two groups, ask them to write the words they know in mind-
map. The more words they can write, and correctly, the team can get a point.
2、Presentation
First: meaning presentation. Check understanding about all the words, explain the
unfamiliar one.
Second:pronunciation drill.
Activity: Talk about the pictures in groups. Then, individual drill, everyone talks about
the pictures.
3、Practice. S1 draw a picture, S2 say sentences to describe. In the end, the drawing
forming a decoration of a house.
4、Summary and Homework
Homework:
1. Get a list of the words with Chinese meaning and English meaning.
2. Recite all the words.
3. Draw a mind map to include all the rooms with furniture.
