Activity 02: PLOT STRUCTURE COMPLETION. Complete the diagram below based on the
different parts of the plot structure. Avoid having too many erasures when completing this test.

Beginning Rodrick Usher wrote a letter to the narrator to come and he visit him for a short time
(3 marks) to help him overcame an agitation of his soul that he was experiencing

Rising Action
Shortly after Madeline was placed in the vault, the narrator begins to hear strange
(3 marks) noises. Within one night, in the middle of the storm. Usher comes to the narrator's
bed and there is a mysterious atmosphere

Climax The sounds that the narrator discusses about begins to echo the house. After a while
while they read the climax they hear a scream and usher tips over his chair, and he
(3 marks) begins rocking back and forth. Usher talks softly which he was hearing terrifying sounds
in his sister's coffin. Then suddenly the door breaks and Madeline showed up, covered with
blood
Falling Action Madeline attacks Roderick until he passed out from his fear and shock. After a few
(3 marks) seconds the narrator flees out of the house fast to survive.

Ending After the narrator went out of the house, he saw the house being destroyed and it
(3 marks) vanished in few seconds into a fog and waters.
