COURSE GUIDE PA 22
Human Behavior in Organization

Welcome to the course BPA 22 Human Behavior in Organization. In this


course you will find useful incites and gain adequate experience in examining roles
of organizations from the perspective of the individual, the group and the
organizational system. This will also focus on the human behavior and
organizational structures and processes.

This course introduces the student to the study of organizational behavior


encompassing the behavior of individual organization members and groups within
the organizations, the myriad of organizational processes, dynamics and conditions
of the organization as a whole, and the ways in which all these factors interrelate.

After completing this course, you are expected to:

1. Explain the concepts, theories, models and principles of human


behavior in relation to the individual, group and organization levels.
2. Discuss the factors that affect an individual’s personal development in
an organization.
3. Gain a better understanding of their own behavior and that of others
and how it affects the organizational goals and effectiveness
4. Develop soft skills to effectively deal with interpersonal and
management challenges
5. Expose students to the realities and challenges of working in an
organization and
6. Derive learning insights and vis-à-vis future career.

You will have flexible learning for this course. You may opt to have a
combination of the following modes of delivery: 1) Through printed materials to be
sent to you by mail; 2) Through asynchronous discussion through emails, Facebook
closed group account or Messenger using electronic version of the materials; 3)
Through Voice Recording and 4) Through synchronous discussion using Google
Classroom/or Zoom meeting.

The major learning tasks are to acquire relevant knowledge and skills,
positive attitudes necessary to understand intrapersonal, interpersonal, group and
organizational level processes in the work setting.

The criteria for assessing your outputs are presented in detail in the Course
Syllabus. You will also have midterm and final examinations for the course. All your
outputs and examinations may be submitted through the platforms mentioned
previously on the following schedule: Week 8 – , Foundations of Individual
Behavior, Attitudes and the Job Satisfaction, Personal, personality, and emotions,
the teams, decision making, Kindly use the PA 22 HUMAN BEHAVIOR IN
ORGANIZATION _[Name of Requirement/Examination]_[Surname] in the
subject line when submitting or uploading. Week 18 Finals– The organization, group
process, stereotyping, power and influence, motivation and Culture

This will be your guide and will be provided with learning tools, reading
materials, voicemails for the course. Make sure that you perform the required tasks
and submit the outputs using the subject line PA 22 HUMAN BEHAVIOR IN
ORGANIZATION_[Name of Learning Task]_Surname.

You can refer to the Course Syllabus for other relevant information such as
grading system, required readings, suggested readings and websites, learning
resources and references, course policies on ethical policies, academic integrity,
language of instruction, dress code and others.
