1. Rainbow Gathering
 The original Rainbow Gathering was held on July 1st, 1972 in
Colorado, United States.
 They usually gather on National Forest land from July 1st
through 7th every year.
 People in rainbow gathering have a stated intention of living
a shared ideology of peace, harmony, freedom and respect
and refer to themselves as brothers and sisters and children of
mankind.

2. Bar & Bat Mitzvah
 A boy becomes eligible to read from the Torah and take
responsibility for his own actions at the age of 13 whereas
a girl becomes eligible at the age of 12, this ritual
according to the Jewish Law is better known as Bar and
Bat Mitzvah.
 The ceremony signifies that the young person has become
a full-fledged member of the Jewish community.

3. Deepawali
 Deepawali (also known as Diwali) is a festival of lights
and one of the major festivals celebrated in India.
 This festival is majorly associated with worship of
Goddess Lakshmi and Lord Ganesha.
 Houses are decorated with lights, flowers and diyas on this
special occasion to celebrate the return of Lord Rama to
Ayodhya(his kingdom) with his wife Sita and brother
Lakshmana after defeating Ravana and serving 14 years of
exile.
 Sweets are shared with family and friends.

4. Demonetization in India
 Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the country on
November 8th, 2016 and demonetized Rs.500 and Rs.1000
banknotes in India to control the black money.
 This step reduced the industrial production and its GDP
growth rate.
 Announced the issuance of new Rs.500 and Rs.2000
banknotes.
