FACILITATE THE ASSESSMENT OF SCHOOL BUILDING STRUCTURE

AND ELECTRICAL WIRING AND MAKE NECESSARY REPAIRS AND/OR
UPGRADES TO PREVENT UNNECESSARY INCIDENTS

The building condition assessment determines the remaining useful life of

components or system, compares it with the full economic life span expected, and
given good maintenance. The main objective of building condition assessment is to
place it whether in a building that has not shown any sign of distress and satisfies all
the safety and serviceability requirements according to the relevant Codes of practice
category hence no action is needed, or it is in state of major or minor repair. The
assessment also gives an idea of whether the facility is safe or not for the users.

The municipal engineer assessed the school building structure including the
electrical wiring. Necessary repairs were done such as broken wires, busted light bulb,
and defective outlets. All other electrical defects in every classroom were improved by
the parents.

These rehabilitations/ upgrades was done to prevent unnecessary incidents

even though pupils were in their home studies.
