ELCC Standard Alignment Rationale

The standard I have chosen to align my paper is ELCC Standard Element one because the

standard states that candidates should understand and can collaboratively develop, articulate,

implement, and steward a shared vision of learning for a school. In this case I have developed

my own school mission and vison and have successfully put into consideration the student’s

well-being in the process through, design and support a collaborative process for developing and

implementing a school vision. Also develop a comprehensive plan for communicating the school

vision to appropriate school constituencies. And establish a learning vision for the school that is

distinguished by respect for children and their families, as well as community relationships. The

campus follows Positive Behavioral Interventions Support (PBIS) is a proactive approach to

improve student outcomes by supporting students with positive preventative behavior. Lastly,

creating a system that students can follow 3B’s of (Be Respectful, Be Responsible, Be Safe)

our campus can have a successful behavior management, to better their character.

Curriculum Implementation Philosophy

Dear community, our school vision is to build great citizens of our students, to live with a

bright future in the 21st century. The school mission is to strive and build our students by

providing high-quality educational experiences, to ensure students are strong, successful, and

prepared for their future in the 21st century. Our professional and passionate educators work with

families to create a positive, safe learning environment at our school. Our schoolhouses middle

school 6-8 grade students, we have site professional counselors and phycologist, who cater social

and emotional support to our adolescent students. The campus follows Positive Behavioral

Interventions Support (PBIS) is a proactive approach to improve student outcomes by

supporting students with positive preventative behavior rather than punishment. For educators,

it is a commitment to establish behavioral and cultural supports needed for any student to

achieve academic and emotional success. Through students following 3B’s of (Be Respectful,

Be Responsible, Be Safe) our campus can have a successful behavior management.

Our campus uses #ProudKnights (our mascot) to celebrate the achievements of our

students and faculty members. We are a proud diverse school and practice strategies, ingraining

in our culture, and reflecting in our behaviors, principles and practices of diversity, equity, and

inclusion (Communities in Schools, 2022). Student enrollment is never an issue at our school,

we use the tiered intervention of (RTI) to identify students and offer support in their education.

Educators are provided trainings and the right tools to help identify students who are struggling,

but also substructure students who need differentiating in learning, or accommodate their

learning needs.

Philosophy Technology

A main section of our school that is always growing, with the support of our

community and district personnel is our technology integration. Across our campus, all classes

have access to technology. Our curriculums for Math, Science, Social Studies, ELA, and

enrichment classes such as Music, Art, STEAM, and technology are all available online. We

follow ISTE standards through modeling digital citizenship by critically evaluating online

resources, engaging in civil discourse online and using digital tools to contribute to positive

social change. We have the great support of district level strategist, who guide educators through

curricular maps and transfer them to classroom instruction. We ensure students have educators

who actively use technology to meet student learning needs. Within the same standard we ensure

that all students have access to technology so that they can engage in learning opportunities.

Lastly, the school mission and vision both relate to the curriculum through preparing students for

their future in the 21st century world where technology is advancing every day. Through helping

students develop problem solving skills, to using critical thinking and to gain opportunities for

the career path they chose to take. Some of the curriculums that are available online to students

are iReady Math, iReady Reading, Illuminate, Discovery Education, Learning.com, Code.org,

and Clever. Every single student can access all of the curriculum listed through their google

school email.
