Answer the following questions:

1. Explain briefly what is business research?


- Business research is a method where you can gain relevant or comprehensive
information particularly in business that can be used to increase profit and sales. And
helps you to determine which product or service that is most profitable.

2. How important is research in business particularly in the attainment of its goals and
objectives. Cite a specific example or scenario wherein research is extremely essential.
- Research is very relevant in in business when it come on setting goals and its objectives.
It allows the business to recognize different issues and problems and maximize public
awareness, it helps to look, measure, and grab every opportunity that is available. And
through research businesses will gain knowledge and learn something from it. Through
things they setup their goals and objective and in the future there is high probability
that when they undergo another research from their experience they will absolutely
know what to do next.
- Example:
 Business experience an increasing competition against its competitor
and the business tries to create a new product or a service. That’s why
the business takes the method of research to know if the product or
service is more profitable than the old one.

3. In your field of specialization, give a major problem and try to illustrate the dependent
and independent variables as well as intervening variables, if necessary.
- The major problem is the increasing competition against the competitor.
- Independent variable (new business establishment)
- Dependent variable (increase competition)
- Intervening variable (same product and service offering)
