WHAT IS
ENTREPRENUERSHIP?
Entrepreneurship

It can be describe as a process of action an


entrepreneur undertakes to establish his
enterprise. Entrepreneurship is a creative
activity. It is the ability to create and build
something from practically nothing. It is an
attitude of mind to seek opportunities, take
calculated risk and derived benefits by setting
up a venture. It involved in conception, creation
and running an enterprise.
An entrepreneur

An individual who creates a new business, bearing


most of the risks and enjoying most of the rewards.
The entrepreneur is commonly seen as an innovator,
a source of new ideas, goods, services, and
business/or procedures.

primary and secondary resources

- Chapter 5-Appendices---If needed, the necessary attachments - (Include the documents requested for
your group work too as an attachment)

description of the location (why you choose this location)
II. PRODUCT/SERVICE DESCRIPTION
This section helps you think about your product or service which reflects on your
ability to understand and cater for your clients’ expectations.

• Provide a detailed description of your product or service.


• Unique selling points (What innovative features does your product or service
offer? How does your product or service distinguish itself from other products or
services already existing on the market? Can you list three unique selling points
offered by your product or service?)

People are the greatest resource of any business venture. This section focuses your
attention on your work force, their training needs as well as their materials needs in
terms of health & safety, professional development, job satisfaction and
remuneration.

description of the Structure.
• What type of skills and/or experience are you looking for?

Activity 1:
Mr. A is a politician in Quezon City. He is planning to retire from being a politician and start to
establish his own business. Because of his lack of expertise and knowledge in business, he decided to
hire you as a consultant. You share to him your ideas about what the business would be and would
look like, your potential market, and how the business will operate and generate revenues. However,
you have noticed that the economic activities of some business establishments in the area have been
disrupted due to the quarantine measures imposed by the LGUs to prevent the widespread of COVID-
19 pandemic. Only businesses involved in the value chain of essential commodities are operational,
the rest of the businesses need to evaluate how they will respond to business in this new normal set-
up. As a consultant, you are tasked to develop a Business plan that would assist in the growth of the
business by stating appropriate business that is applicable during this time. The study will be
presented to Mr. A to help him understand the business and encourage him to invest.
ACTIVITY INSTRUCTION:
1. Group yourselves into 3 groups. Each group must have 7-8 members accordingly. You are free to select your
group members, whom you are comfortable working with.
2. Think about at least 3 business ideas that offers products or services that you want to establish. (AS
REQUIRED IN THE PROBLEM)
3. Prepare for a business proposal defense next week.
4. The presentation must contain the product details or description and the reason why did you come-up with
the idea.
5. Prepare for a power point presentation during your defense. All is required to present.
6. For documentation and to provide a copy to our panelist, you are required to submit a PDF format of your
presentation.
7. Deadline of submission is on Saturday January 16, 2021.
