2. 1. As a multicultural citizen, how do you show care towards the locally
stranded individuals during the COVID-19 pandemic? As we face a new pandemic, the COVID-19 that gives us the ability to adapt in our lives dealing with changes. So as the pandemic kicked in, a lot of organize unfairness was uncovered. Some people find it simpler but others is a taught situation. This Global pandemic affects the people specially those who migrated just to work or looking for work. Due to the pandemic, most of them have lost their jobs and are now stranded with no place to stay while waiting for the next available flight or ship to bring them back to their provinces. As a multicultural citizen, helping them by checking them although necessary but social isolation can be lonely, a simple text, phone call or even talking to them can make them ease for getting home sick. Treating those people with kindness can make them think that they are not far from their homes because they have you or us that gives them joy and happiness. In our situation today this is not the time for us to compete, but for the hospitality and care for every one of us most especially those stranded people because of this crisis. We have to inspire them always to face this challenge because soon, it will end so that we can enjoy again the beauty of the world and happy faces of every citizen. We have also to always remind them that prayer would be the best thing to fight this pandemic as soon as possible, it is so much important that our faith in God will always raise no matter how hard the situation is because prayer is the most powerful weapon to fight against bad things happen in the world. 3.2. Do you think international linkage and collaboration is necessary to eradicate the global pandemic? Why? Yes, the international collaboration really helps to make the work of our government a lot simpler and easier. Just like getting new hospital equipment’s from foreign governments that distributed to all the local hospitals here in our country. Also, the free millions of vaccines that we really need so that to prevent the proliferation of the people that can get and might have a severe symptom because of the virus. The World Health Organization or WHO should have to communicate and monitor the world performance on how all countries give best response to the pandemic. Our government will always find ways to have an immediate action because the spread of covid-19 is still increasing and if the plan would be not effective, then the world will still suffer through with the virus. To defeat COVID-19, medical, pharmaceutical, and healthcare employees, as well as mental health practitioners and healthcare institutions, must all work together. The supply chain for much-needed testing kits, ventilators, and personal protective equipment such as N95 face masks, gloves, gowns, aprons, face shields, and respirators must be maintained through public and private collaboration. A multilateral response that is successful involves a whole of government, whole of society, and evidence-based public health strategy. When governments exchange expertise and scientific knowledge about risks to health, climate, people, and peace and security, mitigation works best.
