I. Objectives
At the end of the 60-minute session, the students will be able to:
a. Discuss the relationship among physiological, cognitive, psychological, spiritual and
social aspects of development, to understand your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors,
b. Evaluate your own thoughts, feelings and actions and,
c. Show the connection of your thoughts, feelings and actions to actual life situations.
B. Lesson Proper
1. Activity
The teacher will provide a blank sheet of papers to the students. The teacher will
instruct the students to draw a large circle on a blank sheet of paper. Then, they will
divide the circle into 8 segments. In each segment, the students are task to write some
descriptions of the different aspects of their selves. (Physical self, Intellectual self,
Emotional self, Sensual self, Interactional self, Nutritional Self, Contextual self and
Spiritual self).
2. Analysis.
The teacher will ask the following questions.
• What are the words or phrases which represents aspects about yourself
which you like?
• What are the items which you consider to be weaknesses or areas of
improvement?
• What words which are neutral or factual?
3. Abstraction.
The teacher will discuss the following concepts.
4. Application.
The teacher will divide the class into 3 groups to analyze the following success stories. And answer
the following questions.
Analyze the Three Success Stories
GROUP 1: Manny Pacquiao's Unbelievable Success Story
GROUP 2: The Pia Wurtzback Success Story
GROUP 3: A Love Affair that Got Me Close to a Great Doctor
1.) Can you identify with any of the characters mentioned – Manny, Pia, and
Dr.Rose? In what way?
2.) What lessons can you learn from the character you have chosen?
3.) How would you like your life story to be told?
IV. Evaluation.
The teacher will instruct the students to answer the following questions in a ¼ sheet of
paper.
Direction: Answer the questions directly.
1.) ________ Is defined by one's self- concept, Self- knowledge, self- esteem
and social self.
2.) ________ The most feared aspect of the self.
3.) ________ Is the value we place upon ourselves.
4.) ________ Refers to how we perceive ourselves in relations to others.
5.) ________It is represented by several aspect of the self.
6.) ________Refers to knowledge of one's own mental states, processes, and
dispositions.
7.) ________ It is an aspect which relates to the body.
8.) ________ It is an aspect that relates to individual’s spirit.
9.) ________ An aspect which relates to human mind.
10.) ________ it is a destructive to a content of self in all feelings, not
only negative ones are stored away.
V. Assignment
The teacher will provide a story about “THE TWO WOLVES”. The students will be going to
comprehend the concept of good and evil base on the content of the story.
Instruction: Read the story carefully and answer the following questions in a ½ sheet of paper
1.) How aware are you of the two different opposing “wolves” operating within your mind,
one of which leads to pain and a diminished sense of life and the other to a joyous,
meaningful, and fulfilling life?
2.) When was the time you feel disappointed by the choice of behavior because you knew
that there was a more positive option but you just didn’t choose it?
3.) What ways or techniques or exercises do you use to strengthen yourself so as to
increase its potency to choose and hence control your life?
4.) In what specific ways do you feed the negative wolf?
5.) What specific ways do you use to feed the positive wolf?
