 SISIW AT LAWIN
It is another game of chasing which is a traditional Filipino
game requiring a minimum of six players, although this
game typically has 10-20 players, making it perfect for
family reunions.
One player will act as a Hawk (lawin) while another player
will play as the Hen (inahin).
The game starts with the hawk buying chick to be his slave
who will look for palay grains for his food. But at night time,
the chick will escape and finds his way towards his mother
hen.
 SISIW AT LAWIN
The hawk will find it out, and will try to get back
the chick. However, the hen will not let that to
happen and will protect her child. The hawk will
surely punish the chick once he catches it but if he
doesn’t succeed he will again buy another chick,
and the whole story/play will then be repeated.
 SISIW AT LAWIN
It is considered as an exhausting Filipino game.
In this team play, the player will develop a sense
of cooperation, unity, and they will learn how to
communicate well with the use of different
strategies/techniques.

1. Establish medical readiness

One player is chosen as the hawk and another
as the mother hen. The rest of the players are
chicks.
The chicks are arranged one behind the other,
holding each other's waists.
The hen leads the chicks and goes around in
search of food.
The hawk meets them and tries to buy a chick
from the hen.

The hawk asks the hen, "Will you let me buy one
of your chicks?" The hen replies, "Yes, choose
anyone you like."
The hawk sits down and chooses a fat one.
Finally, after bargaining for the price, he pays
the hen and takes the chick with him.
He then takes the chick off and asks her to find
grains of rice for his dinner.

When the hawk falls asleep, the chick escapes
and returns to the hen.
When the hawk discovers that the chick had
escaped, he looks for her and chases her.
The hen and the other chicks prevent the hawk
from catching the chick.
If the hawk succeeds in catching the chick, he
takes her again and punishes her by making her
dig around for rice grains; if he fails, the game is
started again, and he tries to buy another chick.
The following are the rules of Sisiw at Lawin
Select one hawk and one hen and the rest of the
players left will be the chicks of the hen. This
exciting game is played by 10 or more players.

The chicks of the hen should hold each other’s

waists, and then the hen will lead them.

The hen’s goal is to widen out her wings to

defend her chicks, for the hawk will try every
possible way to catch the chicks.
The following are the rules of Sisiw at Lawin
When the hen moves to block the hawk, all
chicks should also move in the same direction so
the hawk could not attack them.
In addition, they should never lose grip of each
other’s waists or clothes, otherwise the chain will
be broken and they will be easily caught by the
hawk.
Unfortunately, if a chick is caught, he will
become the new hawk and the hawk will be a
new chick in the next round. Usually, the last
chick in line is the hardest to catch.

1. Warm-up Exercise (16 Counts per move, by counting “1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6,
7, 8, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1”)
Note: Always put your hands on your waist if it is not use in the exercise.

i. Breathing exercise (inhale-exhale)

1. The players must have cool-down exercises
after the game.
a. Walk for three to six minutes.
