Gabay sa Magulang/Tagapag-alaga

Ang modyul na ito ay isinulat upang gabayan ang inyong mag-aaral na


linangin ang kanyang aspetong personal at sosyal, akademiko, at panlipunan. Ito
ay naidisenyo para sa “distance learning” o alternatibong pamamaraan ng
pagkatuto na hindi nangangailangan ng pisikal na presensya sa paaralan, bilang
tugon sa direktiba na pagkansela ng “face-to-face class” dulot ng pandemyang
COVID-19.

Ito ay pangsiyam na modyul na pinamagatang “Get Involved” na sinasaklaw


sa pangatlong Markahan (3rd Quarter), kinakailangan ng inyong anak ang inyong
gabay at nang patnubay sa mga gawain upang higit na maunawaan at masagutan
ng mas malalim ang hinihingi ng bawat pamprosesong tanong na maaaring sagutin
sa isang malinis na papel o bond paper.
Sa Modyul na ito, mas makikilala ng inyong anak ang kanyang mga
kakayahan,kasanayan at talento. Mas mapapaunlad nila ang kanilang mga
angking kakayahan at talento sa kanilang pakikisalamuha sa pamayanan.

Ang mga gawain na ito ay nangangailangan ng iyong gabay bilang


magulang upang matiyak na nauunawaan at nakasusunod ang mag aaral sa
anumang gawain na nakasaad dito. Tiyakin palagi na ang aawain ay matapos sa
takdang oras at maisumite sa gurong tagapatnubay.

Introductory Message

For the learner:

In the previous lesson, you learned how to solve a problem concerning your
family and the community where you live in. This next module is designed for you to
identify your talents, interests, and skills that can be of help in participating in
community activities. This will also help you recognize these knowledges, skills, and
experiences in achieving academic success.

This consists of six interactive activities for you to follow, namely:

Let’s Try This – which will help you get ready to learn;

Let’s Explore This – which will guide you towards what you need to learn.

Keep in Mind – which will give you the lessons that you need to learn and
understand.

You Can Do It – which will help you apply the lessons learned in daily
activities.

What I Have learned – which will test and evaluate your learning.

Share Your Thoughts and Feelings – which will help you express your
thoughts, opinions, and feelings

Make sure to read, think, follow, and enjoy every task that you are asked to
do.

Learning Objectives

At the end of this module, you are expected to:


1. identify your talents, interests, and skills from participating in community
activities that help in academic achievement.
2. recognize the experiences that serve as guide in achieving success; and
3. evaluate the relevance of your knowledge, skills, and academic learning to
your personal development.

Time Allotment: 120 minutes (2 Sessions: Week 6 and Week 7)

Introduction
Suggested Time Allotment: 5 minutes

This module was designed and written with you in mind. The scope of
this module permits to helps you identify and make use of your knowledge,
skills, interests, and abilities in participating in some community activities. And
as you evaluate the relevance of your knowledge, your individual skills,
interests, and abilities this module will also help in your learning goals to
achieve academic success.

Suggested Time Allotment: 15 minutes

1. On a clean sheet of paper, draw three (3) things/symbols that will


describe you in terms of your interests, abilities, and skills. (e.g., singing-
microphone, solving math problems - calculator).
2. List down 3 ways on how you can share your talents, skills, and abilities

Lecturette/Discussion

Along with your academic achievement, community involvement is also equally


important to help and to promote success. As the saying goes, “No act of kindness,
no matter how small, is ever wasted”. Engaging and having an active part in
community activities will surely help you in your future endeavors.
Participating in community activities is done on a voluntary basis, which means that
you devote your extra time and effort to help. There are many different ways to help in
your community. Here are few suggestions that you can do in your own way:

1. Do the 3R’s Reduce, Reuse and Recycle


2. Help an elder.
3. Follow the health protocols during this pandemic.
4. Participate in community pantry by donating food and others.
5. Ask for charitable donations instead of birthday or Christmas gifts.
6. Join in a talent competition / or programs in your barangay.
7. Make slogans/posters to advocate peace and orderliness in your barangay.
8. Create a summer reading program or / tutorial service to younger kids

Here are some of the benefits of participating in community activities:

1. Connects you to others.


2. Enhances self-confidence.
3. Gives a sense of purpose.
4. Prepares you for your future career.
5. Instills fairness and concern for others.

When you get involved, you have the chance to apply the knowledge,
experiences, and skills you have gained in school. It gives a positive feeling when you
feel loved and valued and also a sense of accomplishment.

You Can Do It!


Suggested Time Allotment: 20 minutes

1. On a clean sheet of paper, choose one task that you will perform (for the
whole quarter) that will show your participation in community activities.
2. Copy the table below: Ask your parent/guardian to put a check if you have
successfully performed the task.
3. You may also take pictures or have some documents to prove that you
have done the assigned task.
