What makes communication effective? Is it through digital technology? Prove your answer.

Communication is the act of transmitting information to one another, so what makes it

effective is not a person's ability to speak or interact in a conversation, but rather a person's

ability to understand the feelings or intentions of another person. Although digital technology

can be useful, it only serves to keep two or more people connected even when they are separated.

What are the issues presented by the speaker? (turkle)? how are you going to solve the problem?

Sherry turkle’s “Connected, but alone” Ted talk consist of several meaningful ideas on

how modern day technologies affects human society. According to her, relaying too much from

technology instead of each other and sacrificing conversation for mere connection are the main

issues that she points out in her speech. So for me, the only word that gives solution to all those

issue is the word, Solitude. I'm saying this on my own perspective because when you are in a

state of being alone, you have the opportunity to focus on yourself and begin to rethink the

wrong doing that you have made in the past. As a result, you will be able to understand not only

yourself but also the ones who is around you, Which leads to the statement that Sherry Turkle

said, “Solitude is where you find yourself so that you can reach out to other people and form real

attachment.”

Does technology serve human purposes? How does it affect you? To your family, friends, and

loved ones.

Modern technologies has contributed many thing in the human society, to the point where it

serves human purposes. it has affect many people, especially me, in terms of how we learn,

think, and communicate. It also serve as a digital walk through to all of the skills we have today.
However, there are things that modern technology cannot provide, and that is the ability to

understand one’s feelings. It’s because, modern technologies like artificial intelligence may act

as the one who listens to all your problems, but it is not programmed to understand how you feel

when you are sharing your problem. In other words, technology can think like humans, but

cannot feel like humans.
