Today was a surprising day!

Robert woke up at 7:45 as always and he went to the bathroom to wash his face and

have a shower. After that, he went to the kitchen to have breakfast. Today he decided

to have a toast with butter instead of milk and cookies. He never drinks coffee because

he doesn’t like the taste. When he finished his breakfast, he was brushing his teeth and

his toothbrush broke. That was unusual because it never happened before.

Before he left the house, he put all his books inside his bag, but his backpack broke, so

he had to carry his books in his hands. When he was ready, his mother took him to

school by car. There were just a few cars on the road and when they arrived to the

school, it was empty and the doors were closed.

Robert and his mother were very surprised. His mother called a friend to find out why

the school was closed. Her friend said, “There is no school today. It’s a holiday!” Rob’s

mother started laughing and she and Robert went home.
