ACTIVITY 1
1. What are the academic, social, and health benefits that you can get from Team Sports?

➢ The lessons that sports teach kids about real life is one of the greatest benefits that
can be gained from sports. Because so much can be learned through sports we need
to make sure that we put focus on teaching lessons through sports rather than
making it all about winning. Academically, team sports I believe, made us realized
what sportsmanship really means. "One who plays a sport fairly and loses gracefully"
is how The Merriam Webster Dictionary defines sportsmanship. Team sports should
be a fun way to physically express yourself as an athlete and the way you and your
team develop a sense of connectivity in performing such, and at the same time learn
some of life's lessons, like sportsmanship, discipline, and respect. Because it would
definitely benefit you in facing the reality of life, sportsmanship teaches you to win
humbly and lose gracefully. In today's society, winning comes before everything, but
if winning requires neglect of good sportsmanship, then nothing is gained in the long
run. Socially, team sports make people well rounded other than the joy of
participating, they could be more socially involve and in that way they would find
themselves in the right places. And in health, of course team sports help us to be
flexible, physically and mentally well, and strong in a good way.

2. Is it still possible to enjoy team sports in online modalities of learning?

➢ Nothing is impossible, I believe that with all the means our school and facilitators
have we can always enjoy team sports even in online mode of learning – for they
wouldn’t want their students to have a boring class activities. But really, what
matters most is the quantity and quality of what we are about to adopt and learn
while enjoying. We are in a generation of change, it is not a question anymore if it is
possible or not because we can always has alternatives, although we can do more
and we can enjoy it apparently.

3. What do you think are the implications of the pandemic to physical activities of every
individual? Does it affect the total well being of a person?

➢ Covid-19 encourages people to take action. The pandemic is simply a reminder and a
caution for our well being. It affects how we physically move and do the things we
usually do in a normal phase like we cannot actually perform them without protocols.
It implies that we have to be extra careful in every move that we do and make and we
should worry for we might have acquired the virus out of conspiracy. All in all, it does
affect our total well being – mentally, physically, and be it spiritually.
