Task 1: Think Think about the articles The Articles assigned to me was Article 6 and 7. The following are my ideas:
assigned to your group.
ARTICLE 6
SECTION 1 – teachers should make sure that they apply the legitimate policies of the school or
administration. It is unprofessional to campaign against a certain policy of the school which he
disagrees. If he sees inconsistency or irregularities then the teacher should report it to the
appropriate body. All policies should strictly follow to avoid chaos. We should be very careful and
aware to policies because our ignorance to this would never excuse us.
Task 2: Ink Record/jot down your

threaten the welfare of the students. Welfare of the students is our priority. But is it okay to join
rallies? Yes, we can, it’s okay but when we do it, we should not risk the welfare of our students.
We do it professionally.
SECTION 5 – every teacher has right to use appointment for example is when your principal wants
to send you for a seminar in Mindanao and you’re from Luzon, you have right to say no,
promotion also is our right as long as we have the eligibility and qualifications. We can also ask for
a transfer. Sad realities are happening nowadays, teachers are being promoted not because of
the knowledge they know, not because of their capacities but because whom you know. The real
essence of ranking mostly isnt being followed. Others are promoted because of titles, others are
promoted because of no choice.
SECTION 6 – once a teacher accepts a position, he should understand the responsibilities of the
position, the limitations should be observed and then examine, if you think you cannot do the
responsibility, then decline, if no choice then study for you to be efficient and effective.

ARTICLE 7
SECTION 1 – school officials no matter how high the position should have the courtesy and
respect to people under them. Position is not a right to disrespect others. Effective supervision is
an essential for the school to smoothly process.
Effective school supervision
-prioritizing learners’ growth and development
-teachers must be properly motivated to work to go to school, to deal with everyone in the
community. They must be guided as to what is to be done next, as regards to the direction of the
school. They should be mentored so that they can enhance their potentials, they must be
properly led to be confident.
-school must be properly run for it to be conducive in learning. There should be no bullying,
injustices, improper treatment. If the administrators are good, everything follows.
Section 2 – these policies should be collaborative effort, policies should address issues and
changes to the school system. We should not be afraid of change. Like Mathamma Ghandi, be the
change you wish to see in the world, be the light.
SECTION 3 – school officials should be very vocal in supporting professional growth. You
commend good performance, you recognize efforts. When attending seminars, teachers should
be participative not only attending because of certificates.
SECTION 4 - school officials aren’t allowed to recommend dismissal unless there is a reputable
cause. But there are officials that fabricates stories just to get rid of the teacher.
SECTION 5 – teachers should be employed based on ranking not on wrongking.

concerning the articles Section 3 (Gordola)
assigned to your group. In section three, following the standard protocol was reiterated to avoid confusion and bypassing
superiors.
Section 4 and 5 (Calad)
Every teacher has a right to stand against injustices happening in school but must always take the
case through a due process. In doing so, the teacher must also consider of the welfare of the
students.
In reality, teachers are being promoted not because of what you know but whom you know.
Section 6 (Abustan)
The issue in this section is about teachers going AWOL. This is saddening because teachers who
are leaving without proper transition directly affects the students.

ARTICLE 7
Section 1 and 2 (Almirez)
School officials must show respect and professional courtesy to all their employees regardless of
rant to be able to build a community that has mutual respect for each other.
Policy making is crucial because the education system and the learners are ever evolving. For
example, the pandemic has forced the academe to make big changes so that students will be able
to continue learning despite being at home. Schools have adapted two mode of teaching which
are modular and online.
Section 3 (Abustan)
Teachers are not given equal opportunities to attend seminars and insets because of financial
restrictions.
Section 4 and 5 (Capili)
Principals must conduct dismissals with due process and without malice or bias.
The issue here is the palakasan system when a teacher loses opportunities for promotion because
of the biases of their superiors.

MY REFLECTION ON THE CODE OF ETHICS

Through following the Code of Ethics for Professional Teachers of the Philippines, we can create not only a good classroom but also a good community. This ethics can
create a positive learning environment for us teachers and for our students. This also gives protection to the rights of our students which is our top priority. Thus, we
should always have to embody everything that is written on the code of ethics as this serves our help and guide in molding students.
