Concerns: Workshop – Reception – Stores

I – SUBJECT: EXHAUST MANIFOLD CRACKED


CUSTOMER EFFECTS: - Noise from exhaust.
- Gas leak.
- Engine whistling.

CAUSE: Exhaust manifold cracked, at turbocharger.

ACTIONS - Reprogram the engine control unit.


- Replace the exhaust manifold.

II – APPLICATION
STANDARD PRODUCTION: New engine ECU programming from CAM 14MA (14/12/2010).

AFTERMARKET: Reprogram the engine control unit with the diagnostic tool (available from 14/06/11)
and change the exhaust manifold up to CAM 13MA (13/12/2010).

III – METHOD
– Reprogram the engine control unit with the
diagnostic tool using a network connection
(see § IV).
– Replace exhaust manifold 7485113461.

IV – REPROGRAMMING OF ENGINE ECU (ECM)

– Update your diagnostic tool's Diagnostic DXi


application before any operation (Diagnostic DXi
version 2-41-11 or higher).

– Select the YD25 engine.

– Select "Parameter setting/Configuration".

– Select "Updating of ECU".

– Wait for the automatic data backup to complete.

– Confirm.

The configuration summary screen is displayed.

– Confirm.

If there is a problem with the update, an error message is


displayed. Contact your Techline.

– Wait for the programming to complete.

– Confirm.

– Turn on the ignition when requested by the


diagnostic tool.

– Confirm.

– Wait for the values to be saved (injector code,
EGR programming, etc.).

– Confirm.

If the customer wishes a specific sub-limitation:

– Enter the desired speed (1). It should be between
30 km/h and the regulatory speed.

– Confirm.

Reprogramming is complete.
