2. COMPOSITION/INFORMATION ON INGREDIENTS

3. HAZARDS IDENTIFICATION

These products are not known nor expected to be hazardous, but as with all chemical products, exercise caution in
handling and using this material.

4. FIRST AID MEASURES

Eye Contact : Flush with large amounts of water, lifting the upper and lower lids occasionally
Skin Contact : Wash skin thoroughly with water and soap
Ingestion : Not applicable
Inhalation : Not applicable

5. FIRE FIGHTING MEASURES

Fire Hazard :
Product is water based and in the wet form it is a low fire hazard. The dried polymer is combustible. Decomposition
products could be toxic.

Extinguishing media :
Water, alcohol-resistant foam, powder, CO2 , sand …all extinguishing media are suitable.
Protective clothing and self-contained breathing equipment should be available for firemen.

6. ACCIDENTAL RELEASE MEASURES

After spillage/leakage : take steps to prevent pollution of drainage systems.


All chemical spillages must be dealt with as soon as possible to prevent contamination, damage or staining of the
areas affected (especially with liquid products). Absorb the chemical spillages with dry sand. Place in polythene
bags for disposal to an authorised waste site. Wash the area with strong industrial detergent and water.
Extinguishing media suitable: Co2, Foam, Dry Powder, or Water.
First Aid
Ingestion: DO NOT MAKE CASUALTY VOMIT. Give one pint of water or milk to drink.

Eye contact: Flush without delay with clean water whilst holding the eyelid open. Take care not to wash product
from one eye to the other. Use plenty of water for at least 10 minutes. If symptoms persist obtain medical assistance
without delay.

ISkin contact: Prolonged or frequent contact with the product can cause irritation. Wash all splashes

immediately from the skin with soap and clean water, if any other skin symptoms occur obtain medical assistance.

Inhalation: Remove the casualty from the area of exposure. Obtain medical assistance if symptoms persist.
Further information: Cormix International Ltd. products are generally safe to use provided certain precautions
normally taken when handling chemicals are observed. Unless specified products should not come into contact with
drinking water, foodstuffs or food equipment and measures should be taken to prevent skin contact, since people
with particularly sensitive skin may be affected. The use of barrier creams, goggles and industrial gloves is
recommended. The skin should be cleansed at the end of each working period using a suitable industrial cleanser
or warm water and soap, the use of solvents to clean the skin is not recommended. Adequate ventilation of the
working area is recommended. Take careful note of all safety information on data sheets and labels.

7. HANDLING AND STORAGE

Handling :
Good industrial and personal hygiene practice should be followed. Not Hazardous, however, all industrial chemicals
products should be handled with care to avoid over exposure.
Keep containers well closed and in well ventilated area in accordance with the petroleum requlations.

8. EXPOSURE CONTROLS, PERSONAL PROTECTION

Users should determine the conditions for safe use of the Product. Cfr. Section 7.
Avoid repeated skin contact.

Respiratory protection : avoid inhalation of mist and vapours if good ventilation not available.
Hand protection : waterproof gloves (PVC)
Eye protection : goggles or safety glasses with side screens
Skin protection : avoid skin contact, can cause burns on skin
Do not use solvent to clean the skin. Remove contaminated clothing &
launder before reuse. Always work in well ventilated areas.

10. STABILITY AND REACTIVITY

Stable under any storage condition.

11. TOXICOLOGICAL INFORMATION

Can cause burns and/or serious eye damage (B) risk of sensitization which may lead to allergic dermatitis.

12. ECOLOGICAL INFORMATION

The Product is immiscible with water but there is only a slow environmental breakdown of the Product, but
seemingly on tendency for bioaccumulation.
Water for sewage treatment that has been contaminated with small quantities of the product will not affect the
biomass. Absorption of the material onto the sludge will occur with subsequent elimination from the waste stream.

13. DISPOSAL CONSIDERATIONS

the area with strong industrial detergent and water.
