Students will: Students will gain awareness of the community and find work and
experience opportunities and be motivated to plan for the future.
Students will: Students will be able to understand and work on a resume.

Introduce: Have a DO NOW completing/review the first 25 questions of the college
career blueprint.
Communicate Lesson will focus on Career Development and understanding resources to
Lesson Objective: use when looking for a job or building a resume.
Teach Content: Discussion: Where can I start to look for a beginning job? What can I
learn from a job I get? How will certain jobs be beneficial in the long run
(skills)?
Provide resources to the students. List of jobs. Learn what a resume is.
Mock interviews.

school, and other activities.
Guiding students through the blank resume template.
Practice Content: Activity to go online and find positions open (not actually apply), and list
requirements and qualifications that the positions require. Creating a
resume.
Summarize: Give students a list of job openings, websites, and other resources for
them as a reference.
