The bar chart illustrates the figures for males and females taking part in different

evening classes at an education centre for adults in 2009. The pie chart shows
various age groups which the attendees fell into.
Overall, it is evident that the number of women who participated in evening
courses was considerably higher than the figure for men. Additionally, people aged
50 or over paid the most attention to these classes.
Regarding the bar graph, the language course had by far the biggest numbers of
participants, in which the quantity of women was double that of men, with 40 and
20 respectively. By contrast, the fewest figures for course attendees belonged to
the sculpture class, where men outnumbered women, with 10 and 5
correspondingly.
Looking at the pie chart, there were 42% old people aged 50 or over taking
evening courses, which was eight times higher than that of those aged 20 or
youger, at 5%. In second place on the chart was the proportion of 40-49s attending
several classes, which made up 26%, followed by those of students in 40-49 and
30-39 age groups, with 26% and 16% respectively.
