Greetings!

On behalf of North Rift Institute of Management Studies, I congratulate all our first graduants
and welcome them to this great occasion in our academic calendar.

A graduation ceremony is always such a special occasion - the culmination of years of hard
work; the actualization of goals attained and the acknowledgement of successes achieved. So, it
is only fitting that today we commemorate the road that we have all traveled together these last
few years.

It has been a journey that started with tentative steps perhaps, but one that has taken us to
remarkable heights. We have encountered some trials and tribulations along the way...soldiered
on and come out the stronger for them. We have experienced exceptional moments, magical
moments and created memories that will be fondly remembered in the years ahead.

Henry Ford wisely said, "Coming together is a beginning; keeping together is progress and
working together is success." As we look back over the last few years, certainly there was a
beginning, and thankfully there was also progress and yes - undeniably we have been successful!

Dear graduants, you have proven to be good soil in which North Rift Institute has sown its seed
of educational pursuit. Your years with us have nurtured this seed through the "4 Cs"
(Conscience, Competence, Compassion and Commitment) that form the key goals of education.

The awards ceremony on this day is only a symbolic acknowledgement of your growth in the
"4Cs".

As you go forth from us, be confident that you are greatly equipped with the relevant skills and
competencies for the life ahead. Whether you eventually pluck attractive fruits off the job trees,
or you become fruitfully engaged in religious/social ministry, yours will be the future. On you
will the human society come to depend. Therefore, remember that all you receive in life is for the
service of God and others – especially the poor.

Farewell, as we look forward to inviting many of you to work with us in the future.

Cheers and God bless you all!
