Being a teacher requires a lot of demand, in society, community and a lot more.

Teaching is a broad
profession. Teacher role is also broad inside and out of the school and what certain aspect shall inherent
or embody by a teacher as a person? Here their characteristics, personality and behavior are mattered
most. Personality may reflect who we are. Characteristics and behavior might influence one life of every
learners in the future. In any sense being a teacher is more complex and it does have a huge requisition
to be a professional teacher.

Article XI under the Code of Ethics the Teacher as a Person

Section 1. A teacher shall live with dignity with all places at all times

What does dignity means by a teacher? Or what is the concept of dignity for you? Dignity is something
you cannot touch it simply means it’s an abstract and it is inside of yourself. Something that is valuable
for every person and most importantly for a teachers that shall embody dignity because a teacher will
always be a role model for every learners. A teacher without dignity is useless. Without it what are you
standing for? Believing for? Because dignity is something you believe in yourself and standing for what is
right.

Section 2.A teacher shall place premium upon self-respect and self-discipline as the
principle of personal behavior in all relationship with others and in all situations

A teacher must have a self-control and portrays good manners and proper etiquette with every
person including with parents, coworkers and in society and in every condition at all times.

Section 3. A teacher shall maintain at all times a dignified personality which could serve as a
model worthy of emulation by learners, peers, and others.

A teacher must be an outline to a good example that serve as a role model for every leaners in
the society and as much as possible at all places and most of the time learners spent more time
in school with their respective teacher rather than their parents that is why teachers are highly
more obligated and society set a high expectation and standard to all teachers. That’s why
teacher have a massive effect on every student because they have a great magnification to
influence every learners.
Section 4. A teacher shall always recognize the almighty god or being as guide of his own
destiny and of thee destinies of men and women

Teaching is not merely a job but it is a mission which is god given to every teachers. First teacher
are now become a teacher because of god send to become one. A mission to fulfill because god
called you but it is only the beginning of everything and in order to fulfill a mission a teacher
must put god in the center of his/her life. To be his guidance. His leader and for you to be his
servant and follower.

The code of ethics adopted section 7 of Republic act 4670. Which is Integrity

Integrity: means you are what you are even if nobody is watching. It simply means you are
highly true to yourself. Therefore a teacher shall inherent only the truthfulness and above all the
being committed to one profession is very significant and valuable not only for teacher but also
for everyone. Honesty is the foundation of integrity as well as integrity is one of the foundation
for becoming a better teacher.
