Resources can be time money people and equipment


Planning our resources helps ensure that people are not overloaded with work and the time is
spent well and the budget is allocated as intelligently as possible
How do you answer questions like how many additional resources would be required for the
new project, are there any how are you doing skill graphic designers available in the next two
weeks to complete or join the project, is anyone overloaded with to much work

project and then there are some a swat team you only need maybe during a crisis situation but
you want to be sure that you’ve planned ahead so that you have the required resources at the
time when you need them

Determine if they’re internal resources or external or if you’re going to get a third-party to get

Resource levelling is the process used to resolve resourcing conflicts when insufficient
resources are available and are over-allocated in order to get the work done in time

the principles of resource levelling are about fair and efficient allocation of work

Ways to level the resources:


 Delay the start time
 Extend plan duration
 Remove some task
 Allocate additional resources
 Split tasks up
 Bring task froward – so that they can be done before the crunch. When are the sources
are overallocated
 Assign alternative resources-having export or more skilled labour do the task so that the
time duration is reduced or even in some cases if possible automating the task rather
than manually doing it
