Resource levelling is the process used to resolve resourcing conflicts when insufficient
resources are available and are over-allocated in order to get the work done in time
the principles of resource levelling are about fair and efficient allocation of work
Resource smoothing -balancing the peaks and troughs in the demand of each individual
resource
It is largely about managing time constraints on your project with your resources where is
resource levelling is about managing the constraints around those resources
Most of the PMS already have an inboard program to manage the resources however it
might prefer to use a linear responsibility chart to do them manually which may be more
