12 C h e c k i ng Brake System
Brake system include:Air compressor、 valve、 Air reservoir、 brake valve、 Cylinder
group、 Wheel brake and Hose for the air or hydraulic。 Air compressor driven by the
engine, compressed air through the combination of oil-water separator valve, into the
cylinder, the pressure of 0.71 ~ 0.78MPa. Stepping on the brake pedal, compressed air,
before entering the air booster pump, a pressure into the brake hydraulic (pressure 10-
12MPa), brake fluid to push the piston caliper disc brake, the friction plate pressure
on the brake disc brake wheel. Relax pedal board, under the action of the spring force,
air boosting pump compressed air is vented into the atmosphere, the brake fluid back to
the air boosting pump, brake release.

6.Oil collector 7.Valve 8. Valve 9.Wing nut
a.Adjustment: valve start unloading pressure in the factory has been adjusted to 0.71
~ 0.78MPa, if no voltage test station or do not have the basic pressure regulating
equipment, unloading pressure is best not to adjust the valve, so as to avoid the
pressure setting is not allowed, affecting the traffic safety of the vehicle.

b.Repair and maintenance
Because every gas path in oil-water dirt lots of the valve, the valve need regular
maintenance and repair.
A maintenance: remove the combination valve core bottom, remove the filter, clean after
loading, and check the mounting bolts are loose.
1)Cylinder group: As shown in Fig.3-5-5, Divided into two parts the cylinder and
hydraulic pump
Boost e r
1.Piston 2.spring 3.Rod 4.Washer 5.Piston
Cylinder group pressure into the brake hydraulic pressure, liquid pressure can reach
10-12MPa, in order to ensure the braking torque. Booster pump oil cup need to add the
DOT3 synthetic brake fluid, and must ensure that the brake fluid level between MIN and
MAX scale.
Note: the brake fluid is not different brands, different types of mixed with, or may
lead to accidents.
2)Wheel brake :
As shown in Fig.3-5-6,Brake disc 7 is fixed on the wheel hub, together with the rotary
wheel, clamp 1 is fixed on the axle housing. Brake, friction plate 4 pressure to the
brake disc 7, produce the brake torque. Remove the brake, hydraulic braking torque
elimination, lift, friction plate 4 from the brake disc 7. The friction plate has 3
longitudinal grooves are labeled, wear, need to be updated before the friction wear
reaches to the bottom of the trench.
