- The National Highways network will be expanded by 25,000 km in 2022-23.

Pill#1: money banking Fnance insurance
- Central Bank Digital Currency (CBDC) / Digital Rupee to be issued using Blockchain technology by
RBI - to help in cheaper & edcient currency management system.
- Anytime – Anywhere Post Odce Savings. All 1.5 lakh post odces will come on the core banking
system (CBS)→ net banking, mobile banking, ATMs, and also provide online transfer of funds
between post odce accounts and bank accounts. This will greatly help farmers and senior citizens in
rural areas, enabling inter- operability and Fnancial inclusion.
- 75 Digital Banking Units (DBUs) in 75 districts of the country by Scheduled Commercial Banks.
- National Asset Reconstruction Company /Bad bank started.
- Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code: we will amend it to facilitate cross border insolvency resolution.
- Centre for Processing Accelerated Corporate Exit (C-PACE)- to facilitate and speed up the voluntary

- new ‘Updated return’: some taxpayers may realize that they have committed omissions or mistakes
in correctly estimating their income for tax payment. This new form to provide an opportunity to
correct such errors, within two years from the end of the relevant assessment year.

- Tax relief on insurance policies bought by PH/their parents
- Tax reforms on NPS contribution of State government employees.

- State governments to be given 1 lakh crore CAPEX loans with 50 year tenure, 0% interest.
- DeFcit: 1) revised Fiscal DeFcit in the current year is estimated at 6.9 per cent of GDP as against 6.8
per cent projected in the Budget Estimates. 2) 15th Finance Commission, the states will be allowed a
Fscal deFcit of 4 per cent of GSDP of which 0.5 per cent will be tied to power sector reforms. 3) Fiscal
DeFcit in 2022-23 is estimated at 6.4 per cent of GDP, which is consistent with the broad path of Fscal
consolidation to reach a Fscal deFcit level below 4.5 per cent by 2025-26.

integration of the central and state-level systems through IT bridges, a single point access for all
citizen-centric services, and a standardization and removal of overlapping compliances.

- PARIVESH: single window portal for all green clearances was launched in 2018. We will expand it
further through Centralized Processing Centre-Green (CPC-Green).
- e-Passports using embedded chip and futuristic technology will be rolled out in 2022-23 to enhance
convenience for the citizens in their overseas travel.
- Land records: States will be encouraged to adopt Unique Land Parcel IdentiFcation Number to
facilitate IT-based management of records. National Generic Document Registration System (NGDRS)
with the ‘One-Nation One-Registration Software’ will be promoted as an option for uniform process for
registration and ‘anywhere registration’ of deeds & documents.
- Government Procurement: 75% payment to be released within 10 days of bill. Online bill tracking
system. Surety bonds will be allowed in place of Bank guarantees (Norms by IRDAI)
- Sunrise Sectors: ArtiFcial Intelligence, Geospatial Systems and Drones, Semiconductor and its eco-

- I am happy to share that from competitive exam point of view, there is nothing to lose sleep about.
There is hardly anything extra ordinary which made its its own question / analysis for mains. (e.g. in
past surveys there was Son-Meta Preference, bare necessity index, universal basic income, JAM
Trinity, etc hardly anything extraordinary like this.)
- This survey contains mostly data sets and schemes of the last year.
- Most of the things mentioned here are the repetition of what we had learned regarding various
schemes and V-Shaped recovery in the last Econmic survey / its free “Win21” Series.
- previously I used to advise that student should read the introduction and conclusion of volume one
chapters.
- But this time they have combined both the volumes (improve the vocabulary and understanding) But
in latest survey, there is hardly anything illuminating in the introduction and conclusion.
- basically he is narrating data-tables in intros and conclusions.
- So not much to improve in terms of vocabulary or understanding for mains/interview, which we are
not already aware from previous years economic surveys and current affairs.
- To sum up: this is some really great thing, and we need to spend truckload of time in it, and its
columns / explained series = the answer is not required.
- Whatever little bit exam worthy matter is there, I will be covering in my free “Win22” Series from 8th
Feb, Tuesday, 9PM.
