Science Fair Project

This project was definitely a lot of fun. With a type of project that we can really choose about anything
to do, this was quite hard to figure out what I wanted to do. The hardest part was trying to find a
unique project to do that we don’t know what the outcome would be. There is a lot of fun science
projects that I wanted to do but I already knew what the outcome was going to be. I then thought
about all the different lab assignments I had to do when I took AP Biology in high school, and I
instantly had an idea. In AP Bio, we did some assignments that on the surface, we thought we knew
the outcome but when we conducted the experiment, most of us were pleasantly surprised. I didn’t
have time to go to the store to get materials so I thought what experiment can I do at home. I
produced the idea of seeing how does reaction time change depending on the stimulus that is
received. Once I figured out what I was going to do, I figured out what are the different stimulus that
my participants will be receiving and how I was going to do it. Once I got this all down, the rest of the
assignment was easy as it was just collecting data and comparing the data that was collected to see
what is the outcome and why the outcome is the way that it is.

competency and reflect on their learning using technology.

This is a great assignment that I can see molded to fit any course that is being taught. This
assignment can also be a lot of fun when done in an in-person class for students to have a tangible
piece of work but this assignment is just as effective when done digitally. I really enjoy the freedom
that this assignment offers and with the different way it can be done, students can really have a lot of
fun with this one. I can see this assignment being done in a geography class where students can
have a little around the world fair as each student is assigned a different country to talk about. In
math class, I can see different students covering different topics that were learned throughout the
year to act as a way for students to review. I can even see this being done in English classes as
usually in an English class, we read books and there is a way to somehow tie this assignment to a
part of the book that is read in the class. This assignment truly has a lot of flexibility, and it is a great
assignment for students to have a lot of fun with this.
