1. Accessing BIOS Utility Set-up


* Step 1
- Restart your computer. Open Start image, click the power icon, and click Restart.
- If your computer is locked, click the lock screen, then click the power icon in the bottom
right corner of the screen, and click Restart.
- If your computer is already off, press your computer’s “ON” switch.
* Step 2
- Wait for the computer’s start-up screen to appear. Once the start-up screen appears, you’ll
have a very limited window in which you can press the setup key.
* Step 3
- Press and hold Del or F2 to enter setup. The key you’re prompted to press might also be
different; if so, use that key instead.
- You can look at your computer model’s manual or online support page to confirm your
computer’s BIOS key.
* Step 4
- Wait for your BIOS to load. After successfully hitting the setup key, the BIOS will load. This
should only take a few moments. When the loading is complete, you will be taken to the
BIOS settings menu.

2. Configuring BIOS
* Step 1
- Enter the BIOS Utility Set-up and wait until the BIOS Setup Utility Frame appears.
* Step 2
- Use the following keyboard keys to navigate the BIOS Setup Utility.
● Use the left and right arrow keys to select the main menu screens.
● Use the up and down arrow keys, on the keyboard, to select an item within a screen.
* Step 3
- Navigate to the item to be modified.
● Fields that can be configured or that provide access to a sublevel appear highlighted. All
other fields are read only.
* Step 4
- Press “Enter” to select the item.
● A sublevel or a dialog box with the available option fields appears.
* Step 5
- Use the up or down arrow keys or the + or – keys to change a field.
* Step 6
- When you are finished customizing BIOS settings, navigate to the Exit screen.
* Step 7
- Select one of the Exit options and press Enter.
* Step 8
- When you exit the BIOS Setup Utility, the server boots. If you’ve made changes to BIOS
settings, those changes are valid with the system boot.
