Focus: Writing, Mechanics
Instructions: Read an article from the Philippine Daily Inquirer entitled Turkey fines Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, Tiktok, over new social media
law through this link https://technology.inquirer.net/105291/turkey-fines-facebook-instagram-twitter-youtube-tiktok-over-new-social-media-law#ixzz6cv9AxbjX
Afterwards, write a letter to the writer using the format. The purpose of this activity is just to check whether you have fully understood the article and how good
are you in conveying your ideas about the topic.

Dear Writer,
I've read your newspaper published last November 5, 2020. It is all about the Turkey's Fine. Facebook, Intagram, Twitter, Youtube, Tiktok, in your article I would like to
share my idea about the issue. As what I've read in your newspaper, Turkey has issued fines against Global Social Media Companies for failing to appoint a representative
to ensure they conform to Turkish law, and Omer Fatih Sayan a chairman of the Information and Communication Technologies Authority said that the fined was $1.2
million each sites. Sayan added that the fine was the first of five steps that will be used to punish platforms if they refuse to comply with the law, with a 30 million lira
fine, a ban on advertisement and a 50% bandwidth cut following within five months. Companies that still do not follow the law will have their bandwidth slashed by 90%,
he said, essentially blocking access. If companies comply, Sayan said the restrictions will be lifted and a quarter of the imposed fine will be collected. And Twitter did not
comment on the matter. Representatives at Facebook and Alphabet's YouTube were not immediately available to comment.
I believe Social Media plays a crucial role in connecting people and developing relationships, not only with key influencers and journalists covering your company’s sector,
but also provides a great opportunity to establish customer service by gathering input, answering questions and listening to their feedback. And also social media is a
lifeline for many people who use it to access news, so this law signals a new dark era of online censorship but I also believe in the responsibility of each company to
follow on the law because NO ONE IS ABOVE THE LAW . This will be a lesson that will pass to the next generation to mirror and be responsible for their doings.
It takes the grace of God to be humble and / to accept your mistakes. It will take grace to make those mistake right . Life is such that until you see and accept your wrong
you can never make it right . You need grace. -Ceo Isaac
I hope this issue will be solved immediately. GOD BLESS

Very truly yours,

Jardio,Renalyn S.
