For three years in high school, I have been seeking effective English

education models for Korean students in the EFL environment. Unlike the
passionate beginning of admission, I felt that the atmosphere of English
time was changing passively, and the reason was the way English skills
were evaluated as a result of the test. In addition, we explored educational
methods to become independent English speakers based on what we felt
needed improvement. As a result of conducting a survey in this process,
most of the students agreed to the introduction of practical English classes,
and I thought that an educational method was needed to express their
intentions in English. Based on previous studies and news materials, we
concluded that English education in the direction of integrating composition
and speaking using autonomous activity time is necessary. Activity-oriented
classes such as watching videos and reading Internet news can be a way
to materialize this educational model. In the first grade English class, we
had a class to analyze the English text. In the process of making class
quizzes, I was sure that I would read more of the text and improve my
understanding. Through this experience, I wrote a paper by presenting
assignments for students to submit results such as newsletters and news
videos themselves as continuous activities for what they learned in class to
enhance their understanding and become active English learners.
However, I thought this method should be further embodied, so I devised
an English education model called integrated speaking composition classes
by level in the second grade and wrote an inquiry report. The overall goal of
this class model is to ensure that students' personal tasks lead to
presentation activities in class so that students can use English in class.
Through this study, I practiced to materialize the curriculum of classes that I
had wanted to realize. Although it was a little difficult to select and specify
educational devices due to a lack of professional education-related
knowledge, I will study English education in-depth in the future to create my
own more useful educational plan. Also, I would like to prove the practicality
of the teaching methods that I plan to develop before I become a teacher
and apply them in the actual field. In the third grade, we had a pop song
class that corresponds to the beginner level of the integrated speaking
writing class by level through the opportunity to conduct the class directly.
At the same time as I played pop songs, I chose a way to increase
participation by taking a blank quiz of the lyrics. I thought that controlling
the difficulty level was an essential factor in the class because I felt that
there were many words that were difficult for students to hear and that the
speed could feel fast. It was a one-time class, so I was sorry that I couldn't
realize what I had planned, but I want to challenge more diverse English
education through educational service while living in college. I want to
become a teacher who specializes in English that helps students through a
process of continuously studying English literature and practical English
education at the same time as learning English and American literature in
the Department of English Literature.
