 Government of India has extended the timeline of the Emergency Credit Line
Guarantee Scheme (ECLGS) till March 31, 2022 or till guarantees for an amount
of Rs 4.5 lakh crore are issued under the scheme, whichever is earlier.
 The government of India has approved a capital infusion of Rs. 4,400 crore to
ECGC Ltd for a period of five years, i.e. from FY 2021-2022 to FY 2025- 2026.
 RBI takes Indian Overseas Bank out of PCA Framework. Now, only Mumbai-based
Central Bank of India is under PCA regime.
 Government keeps interest rates on Small Savings Schemes unchanged for
Quarter-3 (Oct-Dec) of 2021-22. (List at the end of the PDF)
 RBI superseded superseded the Board of Directors of Srei Infrastructure Finance
Limited (SIFL) and Srei Equipment Finance Limited (SEFL) under Section 45-IE

 RBI has introduced revised regulatory framework for NBFCs which is a Scale
Based Regulation (SBR). These guidelines shall be effective from October 01,
2022.
RBI has categorized NBFCs into four layers (or 4 scales) based on their size,
activity, and perceived riskiness. These are: NBFC – Base Layer (NBFC-BL), NBFC
– Middle Layer (NBFC-ML), NBFC – Upper Layer (NBFC-UL) and NBFC – Top
Layer (NBFC-TL).
