species. The signs indicate the effect of
one specie to the other. The chart
reprents typical ecologial interactions.

The brood parasit Gigant Cowbird

(Scaphidura oryzivora)
This bird parasite other species nests such as
oropendolas. Cowbirds leaves their egg into the
nest of oropendolas so that they care and feed the
cowbird progeny.

Oropendula clade
(Zarhynchus wagleri)
The interaction that cowbirds will have
with oropendulas will depend on
weather or not a protective wasp or
bees commuinty leaves near of
oropendulas.

Polybia clade
When clades of Polybia and other types of wasps
and bees protect themselves from predators also
protect other animals that leaves near them like
oropendulas. This interaction between this two
species is called commensalism. If colonies of

Botflies. Philornis clade

Botflies are parasitic larvae that eat oropendulas
when they are in its nesting period. When
oropendulas nests are far away from protective
wasps and bees cowbirds eat this parasitic larvae.
The interactions between cowbirds and
oropendulas become mutualistic. If wasps are
present the interaction between cowbirds and
oropendulas is parasitic.
