What are some hindrances to research? Why are they

called hindrances?

The following are hindrances to research:

Tradition Made-up Information Dogmatism
Authority Illogical Reasoning
Inaccurate Observation Ego
Overgeneralization Mystification
Selective Observation To err is human
These are considered hindrances as they block or hinder the
research process, making it more difficult, or in some way makes
interpreting the results difficult.

Why should the scientific method of research be

followed? What are the steps in scientific method?
Explain.

Scientific method should be followed because it provides an

objective, standardized approach to conducting experiments and,
in doing so, improves their results. Scientific method is composed
of the following steps:

Determining (recognizing) the problem;

Forming a hypothesis;
Doing the library research;
Designing the study;
Developing the instruments for collecting data;
Collecting the data;
Analyzing the data;
Determining implications and conclusions from the findings;
and
Making recommendations for further research.

Researchers should follow these steps by the book to have a

concise output.
