G • Create quiet time to focus inwardly. Choose an environment relatively
free from distractions. Sit comfortably or recline. You will receive
minimal benefit if you merely play a Paraliminal in the background; do not
listen while driving or operating machinery.
• On some Paraliminal recordings you will be asked questions to help you
focus on the benefit you desire. Pause the recording as needed.
• If interrupted, simply open your eyes, deal with the matter, and then continue.
• If you fall asleep while listening, you will still gain benefit providing you
clearly state your purpose for the session at the beginning.
• To listen to more than one Paraliminal, take a 20-minute break between.
• Paraliminals are catalysts for change. They facilitate access to strengths
already within you. When you succeed, it’s your success–not the recordings.
•  Most changes are integrated within three days. Continued listening can
reinforce continued development. When not getting the results you want,
consider changing 1) the time of day you listen, 2) whether you are sitting
or reclining, 3) the room, or 4) the furniture you sit or recline on (listening

G To enjoy the benefits of sleep learning, set your audio player to repeat one
of the Paraliminal sleep learning tracks (Track 3 for Session A and Track 7
for Session B). Adjust the volume so that you can tune out the sound as you
sleep. Waking is an indication that your mind had completed the process, so

Create a safe passage to the desired destination while bypassing or
eliminating self-sabotage and negative self-talk that cause people to pull up
short of the finish line.

BEFORE LISTENING TO SESSION A


Think of a wish or goal. Imagine that you can make it come true. What
benefits will you receive when you achieve it? Are you willing to do
whatever it takes for as long as it takes?
If you are unsure or have internal conflicts, listen to Session A two or three
times over a few days. If the conflict does not subside, change the goal.

Technique Overview
The Automatic Pilot Paraliminal recordings teach your brain to stay
focused, in the flow, and respond at your highest level of ability. Automatic
Pilot–A helps clarify the objective and the resources you will need. You
clear the way and create a path to your goal without blocks, resistances, or
internal conflict. Automatic Pilot–B prepares your brain/mind for the task,
so that you go on autopilot, stay in the flow state, and achieve your success.
Automatic Pilot–A begins with an exercise to make sure you know what
you want. You imagine setting the ideal end result and its benefit to you
up on a pedestal so that you can walk around it. Then, you ask yourself the
following questions and check your deepest feelings for a yes or no answer.
1) Is it what I personally, really want?
2) Can I get deeply involved in it without having to pressure myself?
3) Am I willing to do whatever it takes, for as long as it takes to have it?

If you can say yes to all of these questions, without doubts or arguments,

then it is a true desire. You can state to yourself, “I want this. I am willing
to do what it takes to have this.”
If there is argument, then the strength of your determination is not at full
power. To really go on automatic pilot at full power you will need to
strengthen your desires. You have got to want it strongly enough to leave
no room for doubt.
The recording then takes you through the process of relaxing as it helps you
deepen your will to create what you want. Once relaxed, you are invited to
explore the details of your goal, which mobilizes the energies within you to
clear a path toward it. You notice the natural flow of your creative energies
and experience guidance toward it through creative insight and encouraging
internal support. You then step into the goal as if it were already
accomplished, experiencing the complete commitment and involvement of
every part of you.
Stepping back to get a broader perspective, you observe your success
and feel it as an expression of the magnificent abilities your mind now
possesses. You deepen your desire and strengthen your will to action. In
this way, you prepare to set in motion the automatic pilot mechanism of
your mind, which occurs on Session B.

and internal dialog form the fuel of all self-sabotage. Use this session to
generate positive fuel to successfully take you all the way to the finish
line. Persistence comes from the establishment of positive mental images,
feelings, and self-talk.
• Use this session to eliminate other desires that may conflict with your true
desire. Listen when you have doubts about what you want to accomplish.
Nothing stops optimal performance faster than waffling about proceeding.
Test your ideas so that your goal emerges as the chief aim of your
energies. Consistently choosing to stay on target comes from a mind
clearly focused on the outcome.
• Set in motion the automatic pilot mechanism of your mind. This session
is the first of two parts to bring your autopilot online. First, program the
coordinates with this session, and then switch it on with the next session.
• When obsessive thinking dominates your mind this session can help clear
the way to what you want to think instead. If you keep hanging onto a
relationship when it is time to let go, listening to this session once a day
for three or four days can help you move on and create a healthy new
relationship.

Possibilities for Going Beyond


When you focus on a goal and dwell upon the needed resources within, you
enter the flow state, bringing the best of yourself to any goal achievement
activity. If you become self-conscious or talk to yourself about your experience,
you break your mental focus and step out of your most resourceful state. If you

interject negative self-talk and dwell on doubt, fear, and worry, you sabotage the

Automatic Pilot–A takes the first step to eliminate self-sabotage. It helps
you reclaim energy that is otherwise squandered on negative imaging and
internal dialog.
Consider an analogy with water flow. In shallow rivers with low banks, the
amount of water flow is limited. In deep rivers with high banks, the capacity
of the river increases significantly. Strengthening your desire for a goal is
like deepening the river. Clarifying your intention or will to accomplish a
goal is like raising the banks. Without strong desire and clear will, potential
energy within you spills, wasted on divergent or conflicting activities.

Inside Secrets
Think of behaviors that have become automatic for you. For example,
consider the way you dial a frequently called telephone number. To
remember the actual number, you might have to imagine pressing the
telephone keypad. Other such activities include typing, driving, making
breakfast, and tying your shoe laces. You accomplish tasks such as those
without conscious recollection–on automatic pilot.
Turning certain performance functions over to the automatic pilot of your
mind may create challenges. For example, imagine running an errand
and needing to go down the street you take to work. When you come to a
corner, you automatically take a left turn toward work instead of taking the

right turn needed for the errand. Your automatic pilot switched on and took

over. Once you have established such a habit, it tends to persist.
Session A of Automatic Pilot ensures that you program the correct
behaviors into your mind. With the combination of Session B, you can
effectively learn new behavioral skills that may have required much more
time through traditional practice.
Athletes frequently must perform a set routine. A downhill skier or gymnast
memorizes all the moves. When watching athletes on television, you can
see them mentally practicing their performance. But, if during their routine
they interject an extraneous thought, whether a picture, sound, or feeling,
it can spell disaster. The athlete must stay in the flow of the experience,
almost as if the body is doing the routine by itself. Automatic Pilot makes

process instantly eliminates self-sabotage and inefficient conscious choices.

This session uses the Fibonacci number series to help your brain “learn how
to learn” new behaviors you desire. It puts any new behavioral repertoire
into action and ensures you stay on track to your goal.
The session begins with a reflection on the goal you established on Session
A. Remembering the benefits of reaching your ideal motivates you to
action. In planning this next step, you are asked to take a few moments to
consider the challenges you face. This helps you define the actions you will
take and the skills you must access. As you proceed, the automatic pilot
mechanism of your mind provides you with effortless concentration to keep
your energies flowing in a spontaneous, flexible, and enjoyable way.
You enter an accelerative learning state to access your natural creative and
intuitive abilities. You power your creative imagination to simulate, in just
seven seconds, the steps of accomplishing your goal. A tone marks the
seven-second period of time.
In those seven seconds your imagination gives you a fully associated
internal experience of the steps to your goal. You receive even more
flexibility and deeper channeling of your energies.

After the first experience, you replay the simulation following the Fibonacci

number sequence, which resonates with the deepest patterns of the mind.
To begin, play the accomplishment of your goal twice in the next seven seconds.
Then, you will play it three times in seven seconds.
Then, five times in the seven seconds.
Then eight times.
Then 13 times.
Then 21 times.
Then 34 times.
Then we will begin to reduce back to 21 times in seven seconds.
Then 13 times, eight times, five, three, two and one. Finally, you relax
allowing the learnings to become fully settled and noticing the pleasant effects.

Best Ways to Use


• Performing a behavior with mastery requires that you let the behavior run on
its own with minimal conscious interference. Research shows that conscious
interference derails performance. Use this session to get out of the way of
your performance. Once you know what to do, the goal becomes getting into

• Following through to completion requires unwavering commitment.
When you find yourself backing out of a project or reducing your

squeezing in more repetitions. At that point get creative. Imagine a feeling
that represents the mental rehearsal. Or a sound. Or a picture etc.

second periods.
