1.

Name two characters in “The Little Prince” that you find interesting and explain
your choices.
- The first character that made me took an interest is the tippler, the tippler in my
perspective was a great description on what being an adult is, because being an
adult or in the progress of being an adult, takes a lot of responsibility and this
shows that every adult will be in the state where they will feel a heavy feeling of
sadness, anxiety, depression, and other types of feeling that will makes us feel
bad and will put us in a tight spot. I felt that in the tippler because of how he is
ashamed of drinking and not doing anything productive or creative because
depression makes us feel heavy. The second character that made me took
interest is the lamplighter, as the lightlamper is always committed to his orders to
put on and out the light every minute and for me this shows incredible work
discipline even though that lamplighter loves to rest he cannot do that because of
the work or orders that has given to him. He holds the sunset and sunrise as he
put on and out the light, this shows that every adult holds responsibility to what
they do and they must be committed to their work because it will benefit them
even though it is hard.

2. Choose two quoations from the text. Describe the context for these quotations
(who said it to whom, when, why). Explain and react to these quotes.
- “And I have no need of you. And you, on your part, have no need of me.” (the fox
to the little prince after the garden of roses). For me this quote gives a
meaningful thought on how a bond is strongly form, it asks questions on why do
you need me and what will I benefit from you? The fox says that bonds from
animals to humans are formed by taming and the little prince asked that what is
taming and it the fox said that it is to established ties meaning the bond itself, but
what the little prince is really looking for is friendship. The second quotation is the
“I ought not to have listened to her” (the little prince to himself about his rose at
his asteroid in the baobabs). This shows that loving is not all about taking care of
only one person or a thing, it’s also to show that you can take care of yourself
and the relationship but for the little prince and the rose they did not even know
how to love yet or know what is love because of how young they are and the little
prince couldn’t take the vanity of his rose anymore and completely forgotten that
he would take care of himself too. Loving is all about taking care of each other
and never being one sided.

3. Imagine that you are one of the speakers in a book fair for high school students.
Encourage them to read “The Little Prince”. Write your spiel for this.
- Good morning everyone, my name is Rhowie Mariano and I would like to thank
everyone here for attending the book fair and I would also hope everyone is
capable of reading or has a good time of reading, especially that teenagers
nowadays only stick their phones as what they always want to do is play and
watch. Now I would like to get your attention by reading this book called “The
Little Prince” by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry who is a french and known as a
pioneering aviator or the one’s who fly planes. Now in this book that he made
shows the adventure of a lifetime of a little prince that tackles events in his life
that is portrayed what an adult looks and feels like, in the story the little prince
had to know what being an adult feels like and how do adults think and
understand, they also have different tasks that are assigned to them and each of
it shows their emotions in the said book. The little prince has a spectacular
adventure and learning of different feelings like love and many more. In this story
you will be able to understand and relate on what being an adult means and I
hope that you will love it as I have love reading it.
