TASK 1 – LISTEN TO ME

Directions: Listen to the following songs and identify its emotion.

SOMEONE YOU LOVED by: Lewis Capaldi

When I listened to it I can feel the cold loneliness at night. The soun d of a heart

breaking as it longs for someone. They wanted to pour someone with love, but it didn't

turn out the way they wanted it to. It is heart breaking. It feels so awful, and need of

someone's attention just to escape from the heart break, yet there's a sad acceptance of

just being someone loved. As we sometimes take people for granted without realizing it

and then eventually it becomes too late to do anything about it.  When the relationship

ends we are left with nothing and begin to feel empty and it’s around that time that we

start to dwell on all of the things we will actually miss about that person.

There’s a regretful and sorrowful emotions in this song, Filipinos are good in making

heart break song but this one is classic and went viral because of the line “Pinagtagpo

pero hindi itinadhana” being played by the universe bad timing is such a sad thing can

happen between two lovers. And now all they can do is to let go of those memories in

order to move on even if it’s hard but it is for the best.

VICTIMS OF LOVE by: Joe Lamont

For me the song feels classic and authentic such a soulful song. The emotion it giving is

agony. I understand it that it's all about mutually falling out of love. When you first

started, you didn't expect it because you were so in love and happy with each other.

However, somewhere along the way, the spark was lost and it is sad, and the

relationship could no longer continue. And neither of them is capable of salvaging the

relationship.
